To clarify a bit, that’s now a nasogastric tube is placed for a patient who is cooperating, e.g. because they’re in the hospital for a severe illness or recuperating from a surgery or whatnot and can’t take food orally.

As someone who’s had to use a nasal feeding tube in the past, this is definitely torture. Not the actual feeding, that’s delicious, but taking out the tube was excruciating. Abolish ICE.
