Biometrics only have to be compromised once, and then they’re compromised forever.
Yeah, this article should really be titled something like “Why your bullshit accounts might not actually be bullshit if you’re not smart enough to know what bullshit is.”
As long as he panders to their racism, homophobia, and transphobia, he could impregnate a teenager and abort her baby in the Oval Office personally and it wouldn’t make any difference to them. Christianists’ whole morals thing is really about making sure women aren’t treated like full human beings, and there’s zero…
Every capitalist’s argument eventually boils down to “some people deserve to starve to death.”
I use my password manager for everything because it’s right there and Autofill is so damn convenient, but if you’re going to go with something you can remember, consider the level of security you actually need. Your Reddit password probably doesn’t need to be highly secure (unless you have a lot of unpopular political…
None of LastPass’ breaches have affected anyone who exercises basic security (the one you posted, for example, only potentially affected users who fell for a phishing attack - although there’s no evidence it was ever used). Not saying it couldn’t happen, but between that and having to remember 1,500 different XKCD…
It’s highly unlikely they’ll get anything more than a salted hash, which means you will probably die of old age before they actually crack any of your passwords.

Depends on who you ask. Those are probably leaching bisphenols (of which BPA happens to be the one that got all the attention) into your water over time, so you might get some endocrine disruption in your late 80s/early 90s. Compared to being without water in an emergency the risk is trivial.
And our president makes the Patrician look beneficent.
So what you’re saying is New Zealand has a large supply of hoarded resources, guarded only by people who have Dunning-Kruegered themselves into believing they are survivalists?
American evangelicals aren’t Christian, and they haven’t been for a very long time. I have a former-fundie acquaintance who saw the light and left her church when they replaced a picture of Jesus with a picture of Ronald Reagan.

Yeah, white supremacists have had a thing for Aryans for a while now. Since the 1920s, I believe.
inescapable fact
Filming someone in a restroom/dressing room without their permission is how Dani Mathers got into trouble. The same invasion of privacy charge should be filed on this living bridge troll.
Depends on the plastic jug. If it’s a milk jug or other disposable-quality plastic, it’s not ideal. If it’s designed for emergency preparedness use, it should be fine. My FEMA instructor has one of those 55-gallon drums and he definitely does not buy a new one every 5 years.
If you never eat any salt, sure. But most of us are consuming several times our RDA of sodium. Preserved foods in particular are likely to be high-sodium, so in a survival situation distilled water is going to be of minimal concern.
So I should be afraid to use a hand dryer or a kitchen sink, but miraculously this fear of everything that has ever been in the same room as a germ should not extend to water that’s been sitting out?
