Wash them inside-out. That definitely helps in my experience.

Still not as good as Mike Blowers:

Fit is definitely important. I can’t do Salomon boots, my feet are too narrow.

Just a quick note: it’s spelled “Beckey Route”, named after famed alpinist Fred Beckey.

You want pit zips on the Nano-Air? I think you just need to refine your baselayer system, that thing is more breathable than any other insulated midlayer on the market right now.

Their tongue wraps around their brain before going out their beak, acting as a shock absorber.

My H2No jacket sucked. Returned it, bought a Gore-Tex Active layer, and have been happy since.

Nah, he’s roped in.

I’ve found Marmot doesn’t have the “brand appeal” that brands like Patagonia have. That being said, plenty of people that I work with in outdoor education wear Marmot rain layers because they are priced cheaper than their competitors while using the same Gore-Tex fabrics.

“With most kinds of climbing, the hardest part is normally buying (and learning) all the very necessary safety gear. With deep-water soloing, that’s not a problem — you don’t need to know what a figure-eight is, or how to tie a harness.”

The problem with the overhead angle in this instance is that the net gets bumped slightly off, making the goal line appear to be wider than it actually is. Not conclusive enough evidence to overturn it, so Toronto made the right decision in sticking with the on-ice call.

They still do so, launching

The avy courses offered by REI are NOT equivalent to an AIARE 1 Avalanche Safety course. It's your life on the line; spend the money to protect it.

I would send this to my dad, but after he woke up in the hospital last summer he blamed his seizure on England's loss and subsequent elimination in the World Cup. Wouldn't want to put my old man back in a hospital bed...

There's not a ton of great waterfall ice, but there is some decent mixed climbing (ice and rock) and good seracing (basically top-rope bouldering on the seracs at the bottom of a glacier). A pretty common one is to hike out to the base of the Coleman glacier (on Baker's north face) in the fall, set up top-rope

My amateur team used to do something similar, but the outside guy on the wall would just turn with the ball and shoot with his outside foot. We also managed to win the championship, even though we were coming from the lower division (think Football League team winning the FA Cup) so we must have been doing something

Hey Wes,
