On the seats at sports event thing, some guy at San Jose Sharks games has season tickets right behind the home bench and always wears brightly colored shirts advertising his bail bonds company. Super obnoxious.

Based on the rest of the article, feels like the title should be more like:

Yeah. SB Nation did a 4-part investigative journalism style report on the entire affair, it’s a pretty interesting look at how it all played out (and not just with Tunsil).

Doesn’t the luxury tax hit get bigger each successive year you are above it? So (theoretically) if you know that this year isn’t your year but there is potential to make a big offseason signing and go on a run for a few years after that, wouldn’t it make sense to push the first luxury tax hit off until next year when

Crown’s blended stuff has gone down, but the Northern Harvest is still excellent.

Did you read the article? Gruden alerted the officials to watch for it prior to the final kick. No incentive for him to alert them earlier when it isn’t likely to change the outcome of the extra point and gives the long snapper an opportunity to correct his form.

I don’t think there’s anything nefarious right here, it’s just a reality with modern news that being the first to report a story is the most important thing.

I read somewhere that defenders say that he’s so hard to tackle because he goes limp when a defender tries to hit him, rather than stiffening up, so he ends up being really slippery. Interesting to see if more running backs adopt that technique.

Another great option for buying quality used power tools is police auctions. They confiscate all kinds of tools that were most likely stolen from contractor job sites, but they can’t determine who the original owner was because the tags have been removed or serial numbers filed down, so they auction them off.

The Brady saga has already demonstrated that Elliott will be suspended at some point. Why not take the suspension now while the ‘Boys are out of playoff contention, rather than put it off until next season?

True. But all he had to do was say “Yes. Next question.” and he would have looked like a funny, relatable guy who doesn’t have patience for poor media questions (seems like something Belichick would do, minus the relatable part). Instead, by not even saying “yes” as an answer, he comes across as immature.

Yeah. You can see that his stick wasn’t on the ice when the official dropped the puck, so that should be a redo on the faceoff. Still an absolutely idiotic move though.

Canucks seem to have enough trouble with their imaginary rivals. I can’t imagine the team holding up under the pressure of a real one.

No, I’m saying that it seems like the NFL made the assumption that they did when deciding to assess the penalty. I have no idea whether or not they did.

Based on my understanding, teams must use standard issue headsets so that they can’t communicate once the game clock reaches 15. So the issue then isn’t that they used walkie-talkies, it’s that they theoretically may have communicated when there was less than 15 seconds left on the game clock. Without any evidence to

Nah, that was to make sure that he was dead, but they stabbed him and it turns out he already was.

Roughing the kicker is a live-ball penalty, but the play was blown dead before Sherman got to the kicker. Since Sherman hit Carpenter after the whistle repeatedly blew the play dead (regardless of whether or not he got a piece of the ball) that is unnecessary roughness at a minimum (confirmed by Dean Blandino on

Wrong. There were plenty of whistles, the kicker is allowed to continue after the whistle (like they do every time they are iced). Sherman should have gotten a personal foul for unnecessary roughness at a minimum, and there is the argument there that he could have been ejected.
