I really have no problem with this at all. If the specifications are too tight, it just becomes stock car racing. Variation between vehicles is what makes ALMS racing exciting. For users with a full Google account (or logging in using Facebook for that matter) many of them have that information on their account. Why should I make a separate Google account to log onto Gawker's servers? How is that any more secure than the current setup?

Gawker is claiming that it is only for security purposes, but if you deny it access to your account information (eg. with your Google account) you are automatically logged out. A bunch of users using Google's SSL have found that Gawker wants your full name, DOB, sex, age, and location to "confirm your identity".

Freedom of expression... until some minority group decides you offended them, and the Human Rights Commission takes their side and you get charged with hate speech. That's free expression all right.

I also love the reflectors along the sides of the cop cars. I've been saved from many a speed trap up in the Fraser Valley because of those reflective strips.
