“JESUS CHRIST!” -Truck driver
I agree. It was never intended to be a full time job nor does it need to be. If someone wants to scrap by on uber alone that’s their choice but don’t expect me to feel bad.
I feel like a lot of these full-time drivers are missing the point of Uber. It was originally conceived as a way to make some extra cash on top of a regular job, not to replace a full-time job entirely. Also, buying/leasing a new car just to drive for Uber isn’t exactly a wise choice. What I tell people is to find out…
“If you shot a bullet that was slower than the plane it wouldn’t even leave the barrel”
Please, PLEASE, never speak about mechanics again. I implore you!
Surely the bullet would leave the barrel as it’s sealing off a chamber full of hot expanding gas that doesn’t care what’s going on outside that system. Now, it might well immediately start to drop straight down from the point of view of the plane the instant it leaves the barrel and from the ground even seem to be…
Technically, the American revolution was a kind of civil war.
I figured that’s what he meant, but you know, never pass up an opportunity to call someone out on the internet.
Well, from their point of view it might have been a civil war.
Using a 2nd Civil War as an opportunity to take over a weakened America it lost in the Revolutionary War. Bad phrasing on his part, but not entirely unintelligible
They didn’t lose America in the first civil war...
Pfft still only finished third.
Yeah, that’s approaching Tesla territory.
Indeed... while it wasn’t a Hellcat, I did take an RT Scat Pack out for a spirited drive, and I can confirm that they handle better than you would assume given the old bones and the weight. Yes, it feels “heavy” and not “nimble” or “agile” by any means, but the old girl still knows how to dance.
sure it is, here i’ll do it for you:
A ZL1 is closing in on 4000 pounds. If the Hellcat can be 4300 pounds, have a much bigger interior, and have 200 more HP, it will certainly offer a compelling alternative.
Have you ever taken one on a curvy road? As someone who drives a Cayman when I pushed a Hellcat on curvy roads I was rather impressed. It is not as bad as Jalopnik hyperbole will have you believe.
All that stuff is expensive relative to a new supercharger pulley and some aluminum bits.
It’s almost like they’re... Muscle cars! Like the original muscle cars, that were built on sedan platforms with huge engines.
This is stupid, and of course it is from Cali, where safe spaces for adults are a thing. It is not the phone manufacturer’s responsibility to prevent phone usage while driving. It should be the driver. People should be responsible.
