Yeah, I’ll take live axle over independent suspension for pretty much every duty in a rwd car.  It may be a personal opinion, not a scientific one, but yes, I will 100% take a live axle over independent.  And yes, I love my old cars with solid axles, they just are old cars and break a lot. 

Yes, because imports regularly beat live axle american cars in... um... like... well, I guess they have the sound of lawnmower contests. 

I did a tune and exhaust work, leaned the car out, better power, better fuel economy.

As for fuel economy, my point was that I don’t see a twin turbo 6 or 8 getting the same fuel economy as my na v8. And the 6 only puts out around the same power levels.

In addition, I can ADD power easily to my car, and should shit go…

The ecoboost is a much more complex engine than a pentastar though, so fixes on trail will not be as simple, or sometimes even possible. 

What is the good reason? My NA V8 gets 23 mpg combined in my 50/50 drive and I pull around 30 mpg on long highway trips, in Colorado, the land of big climbs and less power.  Its also much more old school than any modern v6, so I get easy to fix simplicity as well.

Not really conflating issues. I am not arguing that gas use is good. I am arguing that people who call out gas use but don’t acknowledge strip mining, the environmental cost of shipping and refining, etc etc etc as bad are stupid and hypocritical. People who virtue signal aren’t my jam.
