So strip-mining the earth is cool to get stuff for batteries, but an off-roader is bad for the environment?

Well, first, sometimes you can just talk to someone, not ticket them, teach, and let them get on with their day. Second, I don’t know anyone who just wants government cameras everywhere. lol

Yeah, well, we definitely see differently on what is effecting climate change and the effects it will have.
You also have no idea what I drive daily, so you can keep making assumptions? Either way, you should have never owned that Shelby, talk about a waste. Think of all the carbon you put out there to have a car

don’t forget warranty

I enjoy the car I drive. I enjoy DRIVING the car I drive. Having a car I enjoy has slowed me down as a driver, because I enjoy being in my car.  It makes no difference what the car is to me, if someone is enjoying their car, and not being unsafe or making unsafe mods ( extreme stance) then I really don't and never

Also, I am sure just as a percentage that white people do commit more crime. However, based purely on statistics that are easily available... Black men commit far far far more violent crime. When 13% of the population is responsible for ~55% of violent crime, I think that maybe police killings should show that,

I don’t see either of those as tough engineering feats...

Well, first, the thought thought that Ford isn’t stepping directly into Wranglers market with all of these is absurd. If they weren’t, why is like, ALL of what they are saying comparisons to Wrangler?
Second, Many many people will buy the V8 version and spend good money on it for off-roading. This is what AEV has been

Because one way, you get just an engine and the other way you get the engine and everything else needed to control it?  That would be my best guess.

Your point is simply that because people don’t NEED it they shouldn’t have it or buy it. Your snark doesn’t phase me because you make a stupid opening point.
People who buy M3s, S6, Mclarens, etc, have no NEED for those cars.  So, they might as well have a corolla right?

I feel very sorry if people would rather believe headlines and rhetoric than actually investigate any facts whatsoever for themselves. Washington Post keeps very clear records, there are plenty of crime statistics out there. MSU and Maryland published a wonderful study. But here’s a quote that summarizes everything

I don’t have any idea where you got this information from, but on a per contact basis, white men are 2x as likely to die as black men. 2x as many unarmed white men were killed by the police in 2019 as black men.

Let me be very clear when I say this.

By your line of thinking. We should all have civics, corollas and minivans.

What makes you doubt this?  It's literally the market Ford is stepping into.

I rode in a 700hp 426 conversion.  Terrifyingly fun.

Different engine.  Can't speak to if its better or not.

Cause Ford has been so stellar in build quality. They can’t make an engine that doesn’t blow itself up.

A manual option for the v8 exists.  They aren't changing anything.  Though I doubt it'll be available in jeep

There’s a bump in every other fca application of this....
