After Christopher Reeve (who is deeply embedded in my childhood), this version of Supes/Clark is my favorite. Hoechlin really nails it and he looks the part.

Not that it can't go off the rails but IMHO so far this season is the best Flash has been since season 1.

...because Amazo’s comic book powers come from the Justice League, and he takes Superman’s powers all the time. I think they even beat him once by disbanding the Justice League, and he lost the powers right there.

The shot of the town looked like Smallville from Smallville too.

What a fun kick-off for the crossover! Absolutely loved watching this with my family. Amell was hilarious in that opening scene!

Holy crap why is this person reviewing this show, my God this was some insane straight up contempt for it. Supes, Supergirl, Flash and Arrow all fought Amazo together and it was pretty damn good for any show not just CW.

“Who are you?”

Man, when the Smallville Remy Zero theme came on I really thought for a sec that Tom Welling was going to show up and they somehow kept that under wraps.

OK, I give this review an F- because HOW COULD YOU NOT MENTION BARRY ON THE SALMON LADDER!?

The pacing on this episode was really fast. It almost felt like the writers planned this for four episodes, then when Legends was cut out of the crossover, they crunched everything together to fit it into 3 episodes. None of the scenes felt like they had any room to breathe. It was like they were trying to move from

Tyler Hoechlin humbly greeting the awed Barry and intimidated Oliver and telling them to just call him Clark is a great example of how perfect he is on the role & especially why he works as Melissa Benoist’s cousin

Not gonna lie - I squealed and cheered at Batwoman’s appearance.

And it’s only because of that 90/1990 thing that I finally figured out the “Earth-38" is named after the year Superman was created.

Filming Crisis on Earth-X nearly killed everyone involved. There was no way they could do anything of a similar score this year without substantially changing their shooting schedule, so instead they did something a little less ambitious.  Plus, as a bonus we get The Legends of To-meow-meow as well with Zari the Cat,

Imo, that’s exactly what I want from it. They want soooooo big in scope last year that it would’ve been a mistake to try to beat or match that. Going sideways into something different and weird - something that works only with so much of the universe and characters are established - was the right call.

I thought Iris was being a tad hypocritical.  She was chastising Ollie for making the plea without talking to Felicity.   She was willing to reveal Barry's secret identity at his trial and she wasn't going to consult Barry.  He literally has to take her into Flash time to talk some sense into her.  So it's ok when she

That was a ton of fun. The first 15 minutes of Oliver and Barry figuring everything out in each other’s worlds was worth the price of admission all on its own. So many great moments, though I’d have to pick Oliver’s supreme discomfort with how touchy-feely Team Flash is as my fave.

My guess is that the 53 earths that Harry was aware of are somehow walled off from the rest of the Multiverse, possibly due to some of the Monitor’s screwing around

Unless they get some mammoth tax breaks it’ll film in Vancouver and have second unti establishing shots of Chicago, like what Supergirl does with LA.

They did a good job of referencing the ongoing arc on each show for fans who are caught up.  But they didn't go so deep that they confused fans who only watch one or two shows.
