1) I like the Corvair idea.

Counter counter point, The scrambler really isn’t low cost or entry level. It’s cheapest bike is 8k +destination. That is within a stones throw from a Monster 797+. I expect that’s one of the lowest, if not the lowest, selling model of the Scrambler (and every other scrambler is more than the 797+)

Oh, I must’ve missed that. Well the cheapest Harley used to be $6,899. It no longer exists.

The engineers probably have the same mindset. They keep building the same bikes because they’re benchmarking another H-D, but from 5 years ago.

I’d rather eat worms than ride a Harley, but I’ll be sad to see them go.  They provide a pretty cool product for the people that like that sort of motorcycle, and they add to the total number of bikers on the road, which seems like a plus.

I’ve just bought a new (more expensive) Ducati, and I agree with your “low cost” assessment, but I think they’re probably considered to be pricey to a non-rider.  Ducati has sold roughly a zillion of them, so it’s possible that I don’t know what I’m talking about.

It is exactly this attitude that helps to explain why Harley is failing. They still refuse to acknowledge that the product is the reason no one under 50 is buying one.

Will the dealers scrape off the confederate flag and swastika decals before selling them on, too?

There is no crash test data for the charming car, but GM says that 57 percent of the car’s body consists of high-strength steel.

How did we get to discussing inidividuals stanning private companies ?

They might find nothing but faith in nothing.

Hamster would love it, if his feet touched the ground. I’d rather have the Royal E, they at least have a background that’s improved in my book.

“Completely cringe” is surely a very subjective take. I think the Janus bikes are beautiful, but then again... I like that very vintage style.

That said, the cost of these is tough to swallow. I wish it had more to differentiate it than just looks alone. There are a lot of great bikes around the $10k range that have a

Maybe he was minding his own damned business and the locals didn’t take too well to him being there? As a Pacific Northwesterner who lived in rural GA for 6 years, I can tell you they give you the look. “You ain’t from around here, are you boy?”

Maybe if you were capable of meeting people from different walks of life and, you know, treating them like humans, you’d have a better time outside of your little bubble.

I’m sorry that happened to you, I can’t imagine how scary that would be.

I’ve been to my share of rural gas stations in Iowa and Missouri over the past year for various reasons. I never got anything more than a bemused side-eye from the majority-unmasked folks there. I also try not to engage or even make eye contact of any kind with anyone, though that’s been going on for far longer than a

This probably doesn’t relate much, but being of an asian descent, I had some interesting experiences. In eastern KY, I was, very nicely, too, refused service at a diner. And driving through northern Mississippi was, well, actually it was terrifying. After filling up at a gas station, I was chased by three pickups with
