Carvana trucks don’t even have main winches so there’s that, too. You have to drive them on and drive them off so the driver only has the tie-downs and the parking brake to rely on. The mistake was taking them off before lowering the bed. Must have been nervous being recorded and reversed the processes.

The story this week was not about what Maxwell did, but that she was convicted. There’s absolutely nothing cringey or to make one cringe about her conviction, unless one is also a sex trafficker. That’s the case when using any definitions of the word, new or old.

hey maybe this will lead to billionaires getting into a tax bill measuring contest.

I drove a tow truck as a side hustle for AAA back in the day and from the looks of it, she is lucky the car didn’t kill her if she had to stop quickly in route since it wasn’t strapped down AT ALL. The way I was taught - sure you can apply the vehicle’s parking brake but you better not rely solely on that. We had to

Honestly, are you surprised? Carvana is for people who don’t know a damn thing about cars (I don’t mean this negatively - it just is what it is). They think it’s like buying an iPhone.

Hearing about the state of it my thought was, while it only had 10,000 miles, at least one of those miles was directly into a solid object.

I think he made the right choice for him. I’d go with a Cayman S personally. My kids are too big to fit back there and I’d save some money for better tires and wheels. In the end he’s happy with his choice and after driving it myself I’m happy for him. It’s plenty quick and sporty for his needs.

It’s almost like one of the numbers got scratched off.

First: from a QA perspective? “Re-writing mainline software on the fly” to code your way around chip issues? Is a terrible strategy that wouldn’t fly in a real company.

Exactly what I came here to say.

I really don’t get the “It’s an old platform” argument. So what?
It still passes all crash tests with great ratings
The v6 model has decent fuel economy
The suspension and handling are all great for a passenger car
What are you really looking for that that 20 yo chassis can’t do?

You act like this thing is built on a

“Why do cops always get the latest, greatest, most new shit and every other public service not?”

Its for people like me before I took on a job that requires significantly more driving.

Not absurd at all. It’s the only way Mazda, with today’s tech, could make a California compliance car that drives like a Mazda. And if it doesn’t drive like a Mazda, it won’t say Mazda on the rear end.

And that’s fine with me. I’ve had it with automakers who sell their souls for sales.

Thank you Mazda, for staying

Not absurd due to the range. I know plenty of people that are interested in shorter range EVs.

How many articles is Jalopnik going to write about the MX-30 and it’s “too short to be useful” range?

I don't have kids, but I always figured the sex talk is the same thing you've told them all their lives: don't put that in your mouth, you don't know where it's been.

Electro-cooties!

I wish this guy was my neighbor.
