Because I’m not needlessly speculating on motivation or what “might have happened”. I’m not bringing in unrelated points like deaths during protests last summer. I’m not writing a headline that is factually incorrect (the man was walking to the picket line, not standing on it).

I realize this site has an agenda to uphold, but does every single headline and post need to be so misleading?

So finally in the last paragraph do you actually get around to providing some real idea of how it happened. The striking union worker was crossing a “Beltway” in the dawning 6:00 am hour. He wasn’t actually on the picket line, unless they are purposefully blocking the roadway as part of the protest. If the guy was

It’s weird, every other person who’s commented on your post so far doesn’t realize that this would set a precedent... Meaning “Oh this worked on Elon and Bezos, lets lower the threshold to X number now to get even more” and so on and so forth. Once the government gets a taste, they’ll want the entire pie. If you can’t

Just FYI, income tax was also sold as “hey we are only going to do this to really rich people, you have nothing to worry about”. Also, other countries have absolutely raided retirement accounts.

Paying tax on money you haven’t received is a horrible idea and if you think they wont use this as an excuse to raid the middle class you are clueless.

I feel the exact opposite. There are too many insane horse power with a lazy supercharged V8s out there now. For what it is, I think this is a lot better than the C7 Z06.

What with the price of warm apple pies these days...

Regular C8s are bumping $100k after mark ups, I don’t see this being under $150k for a long time.

I want a song that glorifies high mile shitboxes that receivevie regular maintenance using oem parts.

I think this is a great idea. Most of the time when I rent for business, i don’t use anywhere near a full tank of gas. If Hertz is willing to forgo the ludacris fuel charges most rental companies charge, I wouldn’t be too bothered.   I would also expect Hertz to partner with some hotel chains to have charging stations

Obligatory:

Suddenly out of nowhere: ka-PAO!

This also isn’t the first time this kind of data has been totally misleading or even downright false. A Tesla Model 3 gets about 4 miles per kWh on the highway. Superchargers, the most expensive way to recharge a Tesla, cost about $0.26 per kWh. So driving 100 miles would cost $6.50. At current gas prices of $3.40 per

Would love to see stats on min/max/median miles driven per rental. If, say, 80% of rentals are within range of 1 full charge of a Model 3, that could be pretty dang nifty.

There is NO need to get an electrician in to install an EVSE.

“This is one of many reasons why there are dealerships, and why they aren’t, in fact, a waste of time or bad for consumers.”

We should not continue to consolidate things under the control of an entity that is clearly under control of corporations. State governments offer us more representation. Right wingers are correct on this one

Federalizing/nationalizing everything isn’t the answer. I’m pretty happy with the title and registration process in my state (it’s a red state to boot - which doesn’t have the best funding). Even out of state purchases are rather simple to deal with. There’s a reason why these giants leverage other states streamlined

former dealership employee here. If the dealerships had done a better job at “self-policing” these startups would not have market entry. BUT because dealerships were/are the way they are, people flock, myself included, to a new distribution channel. Having said that, I think the dealership experience today is eons
