It is pretty. We need more bright colors.

4th gear: the future will be the intersection of subscriptions and fees with self-driving technology.

I thought the C4 was spectacular when it came out, and it’s still a beautiful, clean design. IDK whether I like the pre- or post-facelift styling best, but mechanically, of course the later ones are best, so I guess that’s the deciding factor.

I had a Phaeton and I have to disagree with you on the interior - it’s glorious. You have copious amounts of space and you’re surrounded by leather and wood. Every inch of the interior is climate controlled (including your seat).

You buy this car for the trunk hinges.

You need to drive or ride in one to really understand it but to be honest, I bought mine because I thought it would be funny to have two twin turbo 10's, one petrol and one diesel, though I absolutely love it in its own right. I’ll be driving it from Essex to Glasgow tomorrow. It’s by far the most comfortable car I

I mean, if the Phaeton lived up to its IMMENSE promises, it would be an AMAZING buy. This car basically prototyped all the new bells and whistles that would go into the next generation of Bentleys and Audis, all while stuffing a gigantic monster of an engine into basically just a big Passat.

I think we should have multiple tiered licenses. It’s also amazing to me that the same certification I got 28 years ago allows me to drive anything from a Versa to the big UHaul to a lifted bro-dozer to a Veyron to a motorhome actually longer than my house. That’s nuts.

If a Tesla is involved in any road accident or death it is prominently displayed in the headline. Not so for any Mustang, BMW, Porsche, F150, or most any other car.   Seems a little like propaganda about something I cannot quite put my finger on.

This is good content, @David Tracy. I’d also be willing to bet that the vast majority of folks willing to operate a manual trans in 2021 are enthusiasts who probably know exactly what sort of car to look for, even in the ridiculous market conditions we’re currently experiencing. As someone else whose friends and

She’s been renting at a price of $3,000 per month (gulp again!)

Here’s a half thought out idea.

Not quite. The battery has to be big enough to safely discharge at a rate high enough for the chosen motor. Otherwise it’d be a giant fire starter when a smaller battery goes nova trying to meet a large discharge. Many a remote control model has demonstrated this.

How is “Florida Man” not in the title of this article.

Letting a reckless maniac drive your car is reckless.

I say this as someone who likes driving fast, who owns fast cars, and who is generally skeptical of adding more bureaucracy to our lives:

The problem with the i3 isn’t that it was too early. And it isn’t, as a lot of people suggest, because it was too ugly.

Were they bad? Sounds like you’ve never driven one. Not good enough for the money is more appropriate.

He’s lucky. If this was the US he could have died in a no knock raid to collect the fine.

No, we don’t all agree.
