there are a few issues with being a “buy american” hardliner. most primarily, it is a combination of two things:

i dunno man, one of his reports was about how resoundingly stupid “buy american” types really are. given the fact that those idiots surround us as though they were nitrogen and oxygen, i can see why he’d be pretty negative about it
