Full Disclosure: I own a 2016 GMC Yukon XL Denali.

I swear, conservatives get off on telling people they have a job.

I was once told “if the Alamo had a back door, there would be no Texas”.

This is just the latest iteration of what the Detroit automakers have been doing since the ‘60s and ‘70s.

My question is, why are you driving around wondering about people’s dick size? And do you really believe there is an actual correlation (hint, there isn’t)?

The space utilization is just horrible in these cars. The power-trunk mechanism takes up a HUGE amount of real estate in the back. And of course, the floor is really high (body on frame) so there is way less space inside than you’d imagine standing outside.

why would a 7-series be baby dick? Its a full fledged luxury car being used as intended.

I think there are some very good cars from GM and Ford (FCA, not so much). But no one is buying the damn things.

Nope, plenty of luxurious pickup trucks five years ago could top $60k. Now they can hit $70-80k easily, that’s new within the last couple years. Also don’t forget about the big SUV’s that the “proper” luxury brands sell.

I would say likely only the bigger Yukons, Escalades and such though, which are really fucking big and not for everyone. Now you can spec a Ford Explorer up to close to $56k if you check every box so maybe in some locations that’ll take it over $60 at a dealer, and it’s easy to get a Platinum F-150 over $60k. I’m

Trucks and SUVs are a waste of cheap gas and what prevents American manufacturers from making great cars. Just when they start making better cars oil prices drop and they give up, put lipstick on their trucks, and cash in. Rinse, repeat. We’ve been thru this boom cycle a few times now.

...the Lariat, King Ranch and Raptor models make up more than half of all Ford F-150 sales, for example.

How many trucks and SUVs over $60 were there five years ago though? I think that’s probably more am arbitrary (and cherry-picked) barrier through which many brands have gone in recent years than a change in demand.

Don’t get me wrong here, I’m not singling out VW. Every company on earth will break the law and do morally reprehensible things to increase profits if the risk of getting caught is low enough.

The “short” wheel base or “Tahoe” version yes is extremely cramped. The Suburban is quite better, although it is larger than most household living rooms. I mean the solid axle part is ok, it just makes it alot less space efficient than other full sized SUVs that are independent rear suspension like the

The physical size of the truck is huge and the interior feels cramped. Also it still has a solid axle

I’m surprised people were expecting real change at Volkswagen. They’re sorry they got caught, not that they broke the law.

And how many times did he say he cherry-picked the ratings?
