Fantastic article. Two nitpicks...

Even with the GIF and the second sentence immediately stating the opposite?

Haha, it’s hard to completely hate the casting decision, it did introduce me to a delightful person.

Ok!

Well, no. I suppose I should have simply said that it’s hard to buy into a longstanding hatred between brothers when the older of the two is played by an actor twenty years younger than his counterpart.

The first actor (Conan Stevens, below) was completely ripped and age appropriate for the role. I don’t think I’d have a single complaint if Hafþór didn’t look like an angry baby.

He’s supposed to be Sandor’s OLDER brother...I wish they had aged him with at least a little makeup. He’s like a damned giant bearded cherub.

Oh, I suppose I’m just bitter that this great hulking menace was increasingly miscast and can’t really hold a candle to Sandor’s performance/appearance.

Fair enough, but the original had six inches on Rory McCann rather than three.

I think a good deal of the tension between the Clegane brothers on the series has been lost due to the re-casting of Gregor. The first fellow was the tallest and probably the meanest looking, he is the one that should have been gouging eyes and smashing teeth. The current Icelander (although muscular) is shorter and

Car Talk is forever the perfect program because it’s permanently stuck in an era of cars I fully understand and can work on.

Ridley Scott is a hack with a dead sense of storytelling. Seems he’d prefer to remove all mystery from his movies with five prequels that do nothing that dazzle you with over-explanation and forgettable characters. Villeneuve has what Scott’s missing in spades and I trust him with nearly any material.

The sounds of Circuit de la Fart were not as loud as Circuit de la Sarthe.

Bizarre. Mine was nearly flawless. I don’t recall missing any of the race, except for pooping but I had the door open and the sound very loud. :)

Yeah, sorry, no. I’ve watched lights go through nearly two full cycles because the first three or four people stopped at the red were still looking at their phones and had transcended to an oblivious state almost deserving of euthanasia.

I wonder if they’ll eventually make a Long December rocket.

Just in over the wire from Spymaster Eddie Jordan!

Does this mean we’ll be getting a darker, real-world take on Darkwing Duck?

They’re 1:18 scale.

They’re very early 99 seats so not much larger than the original 96 seats and they look very similar. The very late 96/95s in Europe had 900 seats!
