The alternate cut that’s available on Blu-ray ditches the butler for a scene where Harry just looks at a photo of Pete and MJ and decides for himself to stop being a weird asshole. It works a little better.

Ohhhh my fucking god. Ewoks. And lots of 'em. Please tell me Droids is coming too. They're terrible, but I haven't seen them in almost 40 years, so it must be done. And Tartakovsky Clone Wars? Neat.

I loved the original film. It really resonated with me in so many ways. I will never forget experiencing the pool scene for the first time. Beautifully shot.

I’m pretty sure that since it will be a following a Black family during that same time period, they’re prepared for darkness and emotional realism. If not, it’s a failure from the jump.

I loved the hell out of Nightbreed (and the short story, Cabal) as a gothy teen, and just realized I’ve never seen the Director’s Cut.

Kids nothing. Actual adults awarded Borat over Miranda and Hamilton this year too.

The lead 4 Ghostbusters, Stay Puft and Green Ghost (Slimer) have been on Wal-Mart’s shelves for a while. 15 bucks a pop. I’ve been trying to get my kid to get into them so I can play too, but no dice. He has picked up the retro Masters of the Universe though.

I love both Pee-wee and Paul, and would watch anything he dreamt up with unbridled enthusiasm. I hope someone gives him a shot at his dark take.

As a kid, Coming to America was one of my favorite comedies, and I’ve been waiting for an Eddie renaissance since he was on Comedians in Cars, so I was really looking forward to this. The first 20 minutes or so were awkward as hell, but once he hit the My-T Sharp it got rolling and the rest was pretty damn good.

I always felt like they were too innocent to be stoners.

I love all three movies, but man a lot of the final act of this one is obnoxious. I hate Station. They’re stupid and unfunny. The Good Robot Bill and Ted are lame. The KISS song is terrible. Only the time fight with DeNomolos makes it worth it. Everything leading up to Heaven is golden though. And thank gods that Face

Cool, I guess, but I would've preferred it to be in the style of/featuring characters from the more recent IDW series.

A little over a decade ago I worked at a GameStop in an Orlando suburb. For whatever reason, anti-Semitic slurs were huge with the high school kids that came in there. I had to drop almost daily warnings when the k-word would inevitably pop up. It was truly baffling. I rarely hear these particular slurs, but that time

He did. I loved that episode. It reminded me that I really miss peak Eddie and it seemed like he was a cool dad.

I too am excited to see this surely-will-be-in-slow-motion trainwreck. From a filmmaking pov, it's fascinating that it exists. Unless it's delightfully stupid, I won't put in the full 4 hours, but the first 45 minutes absolutely have my attention.

My sister at 9 was definitely left watching me at 3. This was '80, '81, and she did it for years. Some kids grow up faster than others because they have to. They shouldn't be underestimated.

I may catch hell, but it blows me away that Gloria Stuart got an Oscar nom for this. That’s some commercial-level acting going on there.

Sing it. As a straight male with an active married sex life who also dips into the porn world, I fucking hate these scenes. I don’t want to see gagging, choking, spitting, crying. I don’t care how much the actress pretends to be into it, or even if she really is. It looks violent and demeaning, and that's a feature

Something is up with IDW. They also parted ways with the designer of the AUGS game system, which included TMNT and the yet to be released Batman TAS, and was supposed to be adding Avatar TLA next. (That’s a lot of acronyms.) There are also rumors they’re ditching the Ghostbusters and TMNT comics.

Years ago I took a job at FedEx. It lasted a day. "Orientation" consisted of watching multiple videos about the evils of unionizing, and signing a pledge that we wouldn't. It was jaw dropping.
