This reminds me of the office move a year or so ago. I believe it was mostly accounting but also the fabled Imagineers division was fully centralized in Florida, which pissed a lot of them off. At least one of the more prominent ones very publicly quit the company, and I can’t blame him. I cannot fathom being forced

Now comes the part where we throw our heads back and laugh.

Once you’re outside the womb, you’re on your own”, unless your poverty leads you to steal, then we'll come right back to send you to prison or to be executed.

He really is trying to out-Trump the orange man himself... He gets punked by the House of Mouse, so he’s like What a pathetic move by a pathetic company. Not a penny to their name either! Did you know? They were nothing before they came to my state. SAD!” I am laughing my ass off. 🤣

That would require a combination of foresight, planning, empathy and money that sadly no longer exists in America.

I feel like “cut off your nose to spite your face” is too erudite for the Benighted Hellhole that is the Dismal State of Florida. I’m sure their preferred metaphor is more along the lines of “to shoot oneself in the dick.” 😏

Translation: “Oh crap. Disney just outflanked DeSantis yet again, this time giving anyone running against him the ‘guess who just cost Florida over $1 billion dollars so he could run against Trump’ line. Quick, say SOMETHING!”

I love how they are in the “Find Out” stage of FAFO ☺️

it seems the Walt Disney Company is done dealing with DeSantis, and is willing to walk away from a reported $550 million in tax credits, too.”

Based some other articles I read their stock is down about 10% from last year, but they posted 13% revenue increase so it's very safe to say the Mouse is doing just fine. Guys like DeSantis are all too happy to cut off their noses to spite their faces.

I guess the House of Mouse needs to make an ill-advised purchase of a social media platform then immediately run it into the ground to truly be considered financially successful, huh? 🤔

Desantis is still trying to out Trump Trump. He’s fully aware of how stupid Disney is making him look but he’s trying to pay the long game here. At this point, as long as Trump is still alive, he has no chance because MAGAits see any attempt to get in Trump’s way as disloyal and they will never vote for him.

It’s too bad for the employees who made plans to relocate (and double so for the ones who already did!).  Disney better do right by these people.

Don’t you know that having only 108 BILLION in the bank means they’re hurtin’ real bad?

Given the company’s financial straits, falling market cap, and declining stock price, it is unsurprising that they would restructure their business operations and cancel unsuccessful ventures.

It’s worth pointing out that the initiative lost by 173,000 votes out of 942,000 cast. There was just no way a recount was ever going to swing that.

Conservative thinking usually goes, “Once you’re outside the womb, you’re on your own.”

And not a damn thing of value was lost this day.

That one really caught me off guard.
