And I’m not sure what you’re basing the idea that The Marvels will be a ‘huge flop’ on?

I love me some rotary engines… but this seems like it’s a bit too much. Probably has to measure fuel consumption in gallons per minute.

“[O]ne young woman asked Harris about ‘partial birth abortion[.]ʼ ‘There’s no such thing,’ she told them.”

There was another article where an actor said something similar and it came off as very privileged. This one much less so, to me. It wasn’t a question of “I wasn’t living my truth” or some such nonsense. To me it makes sense to not want to be held personally responsible for things that I really wasn’t in control of.

Beyond the bits that are horrific, such as the fantasizing about young girls, is how deeply weird an awful lot of those soundbites are. Who thinks those things, let alone says them?

There’s also nothing wrong with it. It’s something we’d all like.

It’s really weird when people look at privilege in the lens of “oh, she doesn’t have to worry about money at such a young age.” when the trade off is to have the ENTIRE WORLD judge your actions and feel like they somehow know you. It’s leading to a ridiculous scenario whereby the amount of criticism the world should

Yes, very wealthy and famous people have a great deal of privilege. Saying you like a movie star but not all the privilege is like saying you like the sky but not all the blue.

Eh, I think former child actors get a bit of a pass there. Being able to step away from their profession and not starve is a privilege, sure, but for many of them the alternative is pretty unhealthy. And when you were a household name from the age of 10, your life wasn’t going to be comparable to most of ours anyway.

Well, yes, the privilege of having so much money by age 20 that she never has to work again. Seems like a healthy view to not do things that don’t make you happy when your economic situation allows you to do so.

She made a shit ton of money from the Harry Potter films. She still makes residuals on the Harry Potter films. Her and Radcliff and Grint basically had to live their entire lives in a single franchise for a decade. If they all want to fuck off and do nothing for the rest of their lives (which, she’s doing other

When you could’ve said “let me ride you” and it just meant a trip to the grocery store.

Clarification: I dated a girl who liked and owned horses, not a centaur.”

Thank you, thank you, thank you, this is exactly the kind of informative, interesting and humane coverage I visit Jalopnik every morning for.

The last sentence is disappointing.

I can both ride a horse and row my own gears. I am an anachronism, I guess?

Granted, I last rode decades ago, as a kid / teen, when I had relatives with horses. I know neither are in demand skill sets, but they are fun to have. Horses are almost as much fun to have around as dogs, in my experience, and both make

So fast it takes you into another dimension! So fast the engine had to be buried in the cemetery with its creator!

Unequivocally.

it’s obviously this:

The GRX from Speed Racer—a car so fast you actually had to be jacked up on meth to be able to handle it. Sweet engine note, too.
