If the rumor is true I have a hard time imagining Driver as Reed. He’s lanky physically, sure, but none of his roles really make it feel like he can land ‘family man scientist’ nor even ‘smartest asshole in the room’.

Damn do I really, really hope we actually get to have fun family Reed and not asshole Reed. The latter

something here about rats deserting a sinking ship. or vice versa...

Someone always says this, and it’s fairly meaningless.  Yes, Fox News will remain shitty.  They may very well put in someone who somewhere down the line is more influential in (somehow) worse ways than Carlson.  Doesn’t matter at all - it is good that he is gone.

You clearly didn’t read the texts from the Dominion lawsuit, because it’s obvious to anyone who actually read them that Carlson doesn’t believe the things he’s saying on his show.

I don’t think “smart” has anything to do with it. He’s made comments in the past that really highlight his hypocrisy now. He was either lying then when his comments were heard by fewer ears or he’s lying now that he has (had) a larger platform making him rich (insert “why not both” meme). Sometimes a conman is just

I’m sure Fox will do their best to find another scumbag, but I’m not going to let fear of a replacement prevent me from enjoying a good moment

Probably because his private texts showed such, he admitted it was garbage to his peers behind the scenes yet he went out and kept promoting the narrative on his show.

The guy won in court by declaring “no reasonable person would go to Tucker Carlson for news” and “Tucker Carlson is not obligated to tell the truth” was upset about his “credibility” being destroyed??

Please if the universe was kind, release those tapes.

This is shocking to me. With the current reputation of both Tucker and Fox News among the MAGA cult, it appears that Fox needs Tucker much more than Tucker needs Fox.

The good news here other than the obvious firing is that wherever he ends up, he’ll likely be making a lot less money and reaching a lot fewer people.

They’ll replace him with some other terrible asshole, but I’m still enjoying the moment anyways.

I was going to say he’ll land on his feet but then realized snakes don’t have feet.

Maybe. But from what I’m reading they had interviews lined up for his Monday show and FN was promoting it as late as yesterday. I think what’s most likely is Fox called him and told him he had to abide by new standards* due to the defamation suit. He threw a tantrum and wouldn’t comply so Fox fired him.

Tucker Carlson fired?

The sad part is that the texts reveal what we knew all along: Tucker doesn’t even believe the stuff he says. He says on air what will get him attention and money and keep people hooked. He plays a character, one his supporters are too stupid to see. He was born rich and doesn’t need this money, so losing his job and

You will not replace me

Tucker right now:
