Sigh, still with this. Yes, EVs are not some kind of perfect green thing, that’s just impossible. But you’re just repeating old and demonstrably proven falsehoods. Even if the electricity comes from a coal plant, EVs are still far more efficient than gas. All that mining is going on already, it’s not an extra special…
I dislike angry design and the adoption of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Kill-o-Zap ray design. All these crossovers with random bits of plastic and sharp edges are both unattractive and as intimidating as a Chihuahua in a tutu.
It's easier to clean the emissions from one tailpipe (coal plant) than to clean the emissions from millions of tailpipes (cars).
I never understood what they were going for with that.
Concur with many of these but no one has mentioned the death of colors outside of grayscale and maybe a red in the lineup. Instead of “concrete gray” or whatever that is, give me a blue, green, or dark red. Those used to be pretty standard colors.
Probably both said 50 times by now, but touchscreens replacing critical buttons, knobs and switches that you could identify by feel and keep your eyes on the road. Also, giant grills and fake anything, especially intakes/vents. Tacky as hell and just clutter the design.
Squinty little slits of headlights, like on many of the new BMWs
Overcomplicated, busy designs with too many character lines/creases.
I took a photo of a the headlight of a parked Lexus one day that perfectly encapsulated the issue:
Big grilles
Reflective surfaces inside a car.
I think it is passing but I hate the floating roof look on crossovers.
Knoblessness.
Non-round steering “wheels.”
The Flat edge around the wheel well.
-Amber running lights that look like turn signals on first glance (looking at you Telluride)
If you are purely talking design, I have to go with the high-beltline greenhouse combined with the ever sharpening rake of windshields.
no the Ryan brothers, Reynolds and Gosling, gotta getta the accents right while going aboot it
The Canadian Job, Eh?
