I really don’t understand the Cobalt hate. They were not enthusiast machines but they were lightyears ahead of the Cavalier they replaced. I still see plenty of them tootling around today. I have driven far worse cars.

Uhhhh I’ve been through customs at Newark many times. It exists.

My friend in college had a Jaguar X-type with the 2.5L and a manual. Interesting combo, but the whole setup felt really weird and unsatisfying. Some cars just aren’t better with a manual. It wasn’t due to age, either - the friend was rich and the car was brand new.

I’m concerned about the low fuel economy of my car, I’d like to spend $60,000 to save money.

Is this a car website written by car people? Has that car person ever seen a Saturn Ion?

Oh oops! You’re totally right, and a quick google would have told me that.

We got the Optra as the Suzuki Verona. And the Suzuki Reno was also some kind of Daewoo rehash. So yeah I guess they did get use the Daewoos plenty of places but man...they were bad.

The Aveo was GM’s effort at using the ashes of Daewoo for *something* and you’re right, it was atrocious.

Somehow even uglier than the Caliber. A real accomplishment.

I think the Dodge Caliber is right up there. Horrible quality interior materials assembled with indifference, driving position like sitting in a bathtub, lackluster engine made much worse by a groaning CVT. Not really good at anything it’s supposed to do.

Live Through This came out when I was about 13 and it hit me like a bomb. So, so good.

Or, buy a box of powder that is the same stuff in the pods, and you get to skip the step where you grind up a pod into the powder that it’s made of. All while saving money.

I have a little mountain place not far from this and got hit by one of these snow squalls once. It came out of nowhere. Thankfully I was just pulling onto my street and wasn’t on a highway or something - visibility dropped to near zero in a moment’s time.

Let’s see, I could sit in an uncomfortable chair and share air with a bunch of coughing people, while trying to use my headphones to drown out the daytime television or Fox News blaring from the corner of the room. Or, I could stay in my car while it charges. Hard choice.

Everything they don’t like is antifa. I’d put the percentage of them who even know that means “anti-fascist” at about 5% if I’m being generous.

Fellow Volt owner here and I totally agree - I’ll use hold mode just so I have some battery when I get off the highway and I don’t have to use the engine in start/stop traffic. I mean, it’s not awful, it’s just worse than silent.

I would think the *owners* of the fancy cars would be less than thrilled about having them parked on the street. If I knew a shop was doing that with my car I wouldn’t be taking my car there.

Maximum Overdrive except there’s no overdrive because it’s a 3-speed Torqueflite that will shit the bed at 70k miles.

Good? It’s the latest hot thing to assume the pandemic is over but I hate to break it to people - it’s not. And the least we can do to protect each other is mask up when we’re confined to a tiny tube in the air. You’ll be fine.
