A very good point that I forgot. I had a 99 Elantra that I bought lightly used at 1 year old and it dropped to that 60k warranty. I traded it in at 58k because the amount of grief that car put me through even under warranty could have filled a book.

I’m going to assume the Forte is past 100k miles then? I ask mostly because my friend was about to trash his Soul with the 2.0L because the engine failed until I pointed out he was still under warranty. I was very glad he texted me first.

Seems like a fair price for a car that I wouldn’t touch myself if you paid me.

The Spirit flight I took from Atlantic City to Ft. Lauderdale was memorable in that we were delayed boarding, as the announcing flight attendant told us over the intercom, “because somebody threw up and we have to clean the plane.” I could have lived without the specifics.

Oh wow, that would actually bother me. I think an XLT would make the most sense for me. It’s all academic right now anyway, I don’t need a car, but I really want one of these at some point. I want it to be an AWD Hybrid XLT though, so here’s hoping Ford starts making those.

Realistically that’s what I’d end up with too. What I really want is a hybrid AWD, but that doesn’t exist just yet. I hope it will.

Yes, I’m aware. All Caravans in the 90s were non stow-n-gos because they didn’t exist. 

Even our non Stow-n-go Caravans in the 90s had this under-car spare storage, but at least it was in the back. This is wild.

OMG the amount of times the awful brakes on my Sundance just locked all 4 wheels...I do not miss that even if I do kinda miss the car.
