I check one big bag every time I go on a major trip and I have yet to have any kind of trouble. I don’t need to worry about fighting with overhead space, so I’m not in any rush to board. I don’t need to tiny-size my toiletries, I can just throw them in the checked bag. I don’t know why this is a big deal for people.

This is exactly what should have been done. The risk of harm was transferred from the pedestrians to the one doing the harm - the rider. I don’t like to see anyone hurt but...FAFO.

I had an ‘02 ES in dark green that I bought new and I LOVED. Aside from being a hungry hippo for pads and rotors it was rock solid reliable.

I was bonkers in love with my aunt’s ‘89 Sundance RS Turbo. It was white with a gold rocker panel, tan seats with red stripes and a tan and red leather steering wheel. I wanted one so bad I ended up with a ‘93 Sundance v6. Unfortunately mine did not have striped seats.

I think the Protege5 only came with the 2.0L. As of 2001 the ES came standard with the 2.0 as did the 5, then 2002 DX/LX/ES all got the 2.0.

I think these were just the deaths attributable to the Pinto’s fuel system design flaw vs deaths in that car overall. I could be wrong on this and am open to correction. That said, though, the Pinto flaw is like American lore at this point. And it’s directly responsible for less death than Tesla.
