This is awesome. I just started looking into how to do it with a R-Pi, it would cost about the same or a little more, and look hacked AF.

People don’t usually sleep in taxis do they? So all the engineers have to do is make the computers intentionally break all traffic laws, do random, sudden moves, blast horrible music...
But don’t forget about braking distance. With the torque and size of a Model X, he could very well have built up enought inertia that no amount of automated braking would prevent him from going through the wall.
And it looks like people are keeping their Macans. I see them everywhere in the street here in Calgary, but almost no used ones for sale.
None of the media and digital stuff is available, Amazon’s own products aren’t available, there is a fraction of the products and some of them are massively overpriced.
Very true. I daily my RX8 in Canada, just need to put some Blizzaks when temperatures start to drop.
But that would be the same difference between a turbo and a supercharger, as far as the power source is concerned.
It is like a turbo but instead of mechanically driving the compressor, it constantly generates electricity, to keep the caps charged, so the electric compressor can use the power when needed.
I wonder if this kit would work with an electrical turbine in the exhaust and some beefy capacitors for power, instead of batteries.
CP. I can get newer Grand Cherokees for 1/3 of that price around here. And they all have their heater working, if the owner survived winter, that is.
Or just steer away. Looks like my initial guess could still be right, with the idiot inside sleeping/getting high.
I’d guess this genius left the car on neutral, no parking brake, up a ramp, facing down.
In Alberta you need an inspection when you register a car that was from another province, I don’t remember having to do anything when I bought cars already here, new or used.
This almost happened to me once. Dump truck got in the express way from a ramp on the left side of the road, tried to merge directly to the middle lane. I was in the middle lane, saw a dump truck basically driving diagonally and tried to get away. He still clipped my rear axle, dragged my car for a while, but when I…
Mazda RX-8, in Canada, as my only car, that I DD. Surprisingly, didn’t have (much) problems during winter, engine didn’t blow (knock on wood). Can’t carry anything larger than a laptop in the trunk, but that’s what friends are for :D
Don’t know about Toronto, but here in Calgary parking enforcement is private as well, and they also take care of private lots. If someone is parked in your property, you call them, show proof that you own/rent the space the car is parked in, and they send a tow truck. All within a couple of hours.
Came here for the puns, not leaving disappointed.
Exactly. It’s just not commercially **viable** for high volume production.
Why would anyone even drive around with a puppy that small...
Can’t they just replace all diesel related parts with the gasoline equivalent and resell those cars in order to lose less money?
