Hey, I never said it was easy. Or viable.

I mean the combustion rotor is the electrical rotor and the stator is the housing. As in combustion happens in the rotor-stator gaps. The electric rotor and stator wouldn’t be cylindrical anymore, but I’m sure we can use computers and electronics to produce an appropriate rotating field. There’s also the heat problem,

I always wondered if it was possible to integrate coils and a squirrel cage in a rotary engine and make a true hybrid motor.

I could never make sense of my address when I lived in Japan, all I know is that mail somehow arrived at my apartment.

I’d buy 3 or 4 a fleet of them and integrate with Uber and Lyft. Just like on MMOs, let the bots make money for me.

I, for one, can’t wait for autonomous cars to become a reality. And for someone to make an on-demand renting service and crush the taxi and ride hailing industries.

This car looks like it’s morbidly obese. With fat rolling over the headlights, gut fat decreasing bed volume, wide rear on regular sized wheels...

Having owned both Fiat and Mazda cars, I can say the difference is going to be all on build quality and trim quality.

This looks like it could add downforce to the car. And allow a HUD to be projected.

And another thing I learned when buying a CPO car, is that the warranty starts when the car was first bought, not when I bought it. So that nice Mazda 7 year CPO warranty was actually just 2 years. And just for motor and transmission.

People already steal catalysts now, imagine if they were worth even more.

As long as we’re dreaming, what I want to see is they putting a squirrel cage inside the rotor and a bunch of coils in the housing, and make a truly hybrid motor. No more alternator or starter, built-in regenerative braking, go from gas to electric seamlessly in any proportion, self-cooling when combustion stops...

My guess is that there isn’t enough battery factories in the world for that and not everyone is willing to build a gigafactory.

I don’t even see the need for a sports car. There are handheld speed traps that’ll measure your speed, photograph the driver and the license plate, and put a target where the cop was aiming, so there’s no confusion as to which car is being ticketed.

Every car should have a valet mode that did this. There is never a reason any valet should be able to take your car above 30 km/h.

A more accurate name for this would be Fiesta Gorda, because this thing is only bigger on the outside.

Wait, a 3 row 7 seater monstrosity is mid-size??? Who comes up with that?

I grew up with metric, imperial is the complete opposite of intuitive to me. It just seems easier to you because that’s what you and people around you are used to.

I drove a friend’s Grand Cherokee with this shifter a couple of times. I couldn’t tell which gear it was in without looking down. I couldn’t even find the speedometer, that electronic instrument panel is busier than a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest.
