It depends on how the CVT is implemented. Yes, customers for other OEMs complain that they don’t feel the “shift shock” like conventional manuals or automatics, so artifical “shift points” had to programmed in.

As someone who used to be a former crash safety simulations engineer, it seems to be the case farrrr more often than it really should....but....people are free to spend their time and money on the thing that matters to them - which, unfortunately, safety tends to get overlooked wayyyy too often.

I think that anybody who’s ever spent any bit of time in even MSFS would do better than her.
