I'm reminded of a parallel to how books are treated. Works of fiction, that might primarily be meant to entertain, are taken as input for research into the world views they portray and the impact these world views have on the world at large. Oscar Wilde's "Life imitates art more than art imitates life" comes to mind.

The kickstarter page basically says there's one other dude, and he's in charge of marketing.

Very true, though with these new phone markets the amount of people that really are unable to do so is mind boggling. It's like having to tell people how to restart their phones after 5 years so the app you made will actually have enough memory to run.

You're lucky it's not doing anything. I remember a similar mishap when I decided to look for Clash of Clans on Android, which doesn't exist.

Yeh, I don't mind the open-ended-ness, but in the early hours of the game there is a lot of this forced linearity, which clashes with the overall mechanics. The game is obviously showing you the ropes, by forcing you to do things, but is in this particular instance failing to keep its side of the bargain (which is to

I've been trying to play AC3. I hated 1 for it's repetitiveness, I lauded 2 for how engaging it was, I liked Brotherhood (not quite loved). I couldn't sit through Revelation, since it was too soon after I'd played Brotherhood. But AC3 is just really not hitting the right buttons with me. I've started it up like 10

I always thought the whole bone theme was sort of spurred on by the Call of Duty Dog presentation material.

You can't forget that this is a multiplayer game. There is simply less you can do if you want it to correctly render in an identical way across a network of 64 players. A single player game with highly directed camera work? That gives you a very clear budget of what is visible when and how, and you won't need to

Like others have said, it makes sense that in-house streaming will simply mean that it will stream games from other PC's with Steam to the Steam Machine. Those other games can then run on Windows, so essentially the entire Steam library is available at launch.

"What does that even mean, to play us out? To end the show?"

I read somewhere a few years back that the major problem with PayPal is that it is not a bank, and therefor does not need to confirm to the same legislature, giving it more freedom to do weird things like this.

Google "define literally", it's hilariously sad.

Curse you, Jason! :P

Now that I think about it, it was probably mentioned in one of the previous 4 editions of this article, which is what I'm linking back to.

5. They become a subject of contract negotiation.

I love it when you're just minding your own business, and all of a sudden you realize this show already has 3 new episodes! Good times.

The only thing that really surprised me about any of this, is the fact there is a place called Slaughter in Louisiana.

I've always wondered how they get these things made. Do they project and trace the basic outline, or is it some kind of camera setup from the vantage point that they use as a constant reference?

My guess is these are world building concept art shots. Looks futuristic to me, since this appears to be like cybernetics basketball. The previous shot could be dystopian, so maybe it's in the Deus Ex genre of possible futures?

I hate it when I get something on origin, but I haven't used it for so long I can't remember which e-mail address or user name I use on it :S
