To be fair, neither are the 6990 or 7990. These appear to be single GPU cards. The GTX690 is a dual GPU card, just like the Radeon xx90's. Comparing them to these babys is kind of unfair, heh...

I've been using Radeons for quite some time now, and must say I'm never really disappointed. I do avoid some brands like the plague (Sapphire, for instance) due to consistent overheating issues I experienced with their models, but as long as I stick to dual-fan setups or an otherwise reliable brand it's good stuff…
I'm not sure if they already did this, but surplus goals should always be met with increased development time. If not, that's just a mistake outright. You can't deliver more in the same time, simply because you have a "bit" more money. In order to do it in the same amount of time you need a "lot" more money.
That's exactly what we're doing. This does mean you take a lot longer to make a product a reality, but that's ok for now.
Songs for $.10 is ridiculous. I think prices for those items are pretty good atm.
I think people like this tend to forget that the slices of pie these consoles cater to aren't getting smaller necessarily, but the pie is getting bigger. As a result consoles get a smaller percentage of market share, but that doesn't mean they're going away. To be fair, he does note that only the "dominance" is going…
That's good to hear!
AC1 is the only game I own that I haven't finished, but instead favored just watching the ending on youtube xD
What's with the weird black shadowy outlines on characters? It's really bad around the 5 minute mark. Maybe some kind of SSAO algorithm going nuts?
You must have missed all those articles the past year that confirm what he said.
I was pretty excited until I saw these were the guys that worked on NFS Shift. That game had horrid handling and put visuals over simulation. Hopefully they can turn a new leaf with this game, but I'm sceptical.
So they can't just directly port their existing architecture over to new hardware. That's why it doesn't make sense for them. It would take too much of an investment to redo the entire architecture to suit the Wii U's hardware.
The first games on the 360 looked like ass as well compared to what you see today. Just compare Project Gotham Racing 3 for the 360 to Burnout for the original XBox. The latter arguably looks better and runs at twice the framerate.
I'd say it also depends on how many reviews he writes, and how much time he gets for writing them. Those pulls are 3 years apart. Recently it seems he writes about a review a month? Thats 2 in 24-36 reviews. How often does Gamespot pull reviews? (I don't think comparing to a completely different outlet is fair)
I'm guessing he did do something like that, but that's useless if the console doesn't actually start up.
True, but I've been doing it for years so the creation algorithm is pretty solid xD
I tend to do that, but also combine more than one language into the mix, preferably none of them the language the service is in, and purposely mis-spell words based on really crap pronunciations I like to do, or based on random associations not directly related to the service.
Seems a little naive to me. If he'd said that a story can only be told through an established language, then I'd tend to agree. New media always struggles to define its language, but over time this language becomes ubiquitous, as it has with movies. And once it reaches this stage, a story can be conveyed just as…
Quick, somebody make a mod that lets you shoot Bobby Kotick as "The People".
My inactive WoW account got hacked even though it had a very difficult unique password, a 21 digit password containing capitols, symbols and words not found in the dictionary (and not created through default number/letter replacement). The hacker couldn't change the password either, since they didn't have access to my…
