I usually only backup folders that contain things like grades from previous years of my teaching job, or important stuff for taxes and such.

GPU PhysX is a big plus for nVidia. They tend to be a bit more expensive on the whole though, framerate per dollar wise.

I agree to some extent. The one thing you shouldn't do with a whole lot of money is sit on it. It needs to be spent, and the best way to do that is to spend it on something that creates cashflow and improves on the production in primary and secondary markets.

There are arguments both ways. Semi-related, in a discussion I had today I noted that your enjoyment of a product is really up to you in the end. The product's qualities and alignment to your tastes helps, but that's not all there is to it.

Will drawn sounds like something that is going to happen in the future, in the past.

Really only a matter of time. If you want games to keep improving you can't expect them to stick to the ~3.2GB max RAM of a 32-bit system for long.

Doesn't mean it's better indeed, but I don't think it's boring. I've been trying it and it works just fine. I like figuring out what weapons to use with which skill tree choices and optimizing my character build for my own playstyle.

Don't forget Single-Player, LAN & Mod support, in addition to the more complex skill trees and the like. And at least up to 6 players online from what I've seen so far (which you can probably mod anyway)

That was a very entertaining read. Good show!

I'm sure he doesn't think so, but I'll bet there's plenty of people on his team that will disagree. The list of what you can't do is a mile long. I suggest you start with proper anti aliasing.

The camera work in that interview is hilariously ridiculous. When did that become popular to do, anyway? I can understand not looking at the camera, but then having the camera dude inspect you like he's the invisible mantis is a little creepy.

add to that "the economic went south" and "prices varies"

Yeh, I have no idea what kind of gun it is, but I looked up some rifles and it looks a bit like an old Winchester. Doesn't really make a lot of sense given that's an early 1900's rifle, but who knows... Maybe it's a shotgun :P

Is that kid on the right holding a rifle of some sort?

This was a game a friend of mine was so crazy about he actually paid my subscription fee for me, just so I would play with him.

That's what I like about GW2. As a "Ranger" you don't only use a bow. In fact, I didn't even start out with bows at all, rather dual axes... And you'll probably need to switch weapon sets mid-combat to maximize combat efficiency.

Something I sometimes have to remind myself of as well xD

I thought of Journey too. The great thing about it is that when you listen to the developers of the game, you start to understand why it works so well. They have a very detailed and in-depth knowledge of what it is they are doing on a psychological level.

I agree it needs to be a game first. You can tell any story and tack it on a half-assed set of game mechanics, and call it a "revolution in mature gaming", but you'd be kidding yourself.

You speak the truth. I switched to optical mice really early on, but I still remember cleaning my mouse fervently. I had a technique to it and everything, so it would remove everything instead of just moving it from the wheel to the insides of the mouse itself, heh.
