1st Gear: Isn’t Market Share just an indicator of past success?  Yes, I get that if there is a ton of brand loyalty then loosing significant share can be an unfixible problem, but chasing Market Share instead of profits seems like a fools errand to me, as, long-term, that same Market Share you are chasing will suffer.

But you see, there’s no contradiction there. Skilled labor is doing fine; there’s an excess demand for it, so our wages are going up and we have a good amount of job security due to lack of qualified replacements.

“This is good, because as much as GM is a big, important company, there are many more voters who do not care about GM.”

To be fair, Uber/Lyft can independently choose to use a front license plate even if the state doesn’t require one; it’s not like Ohio is banning the use of front license plates.

Francesa’s an arrogant ass, but he’s a relatively smart arrogant ass.  He understands streaming is where the growth markets are, where “traditional” radio is dying.

The problem is there’s nothing out there that is significantly better then what the Yankees currently have. There’s no ace for purchase, and a bunch of #2 options...but on competing teams. The Yankees would have to completely empty their farm to get a guy, and honestly it’s not worth it.

I’m going to add one major point to this that wasn’t mentioned in the article:

Red Sox apparently confused about the double-switch; more at 11.

In that part of the country, option B is a good way to get yourself shot.

My criticism of the F-35 is due to two fundamental reasons:

Don’t oversell stealth. It’s a nicety, but the fact the US is so touchy about it touching Russian built systems show the worries it can be defeated.

F6F Hellcat for life.

3rd Gear: Should anyone be shocked? Supply chains are global now, and tariffs on China will lead to price increases here. Case in point: Manufacturing is declining again, due to lower sales, especially in export markets. Much like protective tariffs in the 70's killed the US auto market in Europe, these tariffs will

The best accomplishments come when you disregard cost.

You wanted de-regulation, you get de-regulation.  This is what you all wanted.

It’s worth noting for historical context the Saturn V also had problems with Pogo that were never really solved.  The worst case was a center-engine shutdown on Apollo 13.

Can we “please” stop this “Democrats should win in 2020" nonsense; right now, Democrats are dogs because they don’t win in the states they need to. Look at Warrens numbers in the rust belt as an example; these candidates do not win the working-class voters they need to win in order to win back the rust belt. Hell,

Letting Robbie Gould go proved to be an unbearable mistake.

Here’s the real problem I have with these people in these debates: It’s not just Democrats watching, and crap like this results in Independents and, yes, some Republicans thinking *that* is how Democrats all are.  As a result, they tune out whatever they propose and don’t vote for Democrats.
