I should probably play these games. I watched a friend play the first one on the 360, and the creepy 50s motif they had going on really freaked me out. D:

@Jason346: Yeah I think you're right about a lot of fans. They praise FFVII because it was their first experience. For me, my first was FFI. And I played ALL of them up to FFVII, so I can objectively say that it's the "best" in the series in my opinion. :)

@magicprime: You should try the main story line quests! They just yammer on and on and tell you to go from place to place, talking to more and more people, all with the mind-numbingly slow camera angles and lack of voice acting.

@ShiryuGN: I'll partially agree with you on that one, actually, but if that response is shared by many gamers, which it INARGUABLY is, then it's a problem.

@Jason346: Yeah. :-\ Fondness for FFXI (for the most part) is what inspired me to pick up FFXIV.

@Cookiecat: This is actually one of the (rare) few area where ShiryuGN and I will agree! Lalafell are pretty damn cute. The dancing across the board is narcoleptic, but the Lalafell have some other funny antics. :) Do a /sit then a /doze. It's pretty hilarious.

@flawl3ss: Yes, you make an excellent point. I consider myself to be a hardcore gamer, and I was SUPER pumped about this game. However, towards the end (i.e., the last few weeks), I just found myself logging on, piddling around for 20 minutes or so, highly bored, then logging off.
