This is gold. I loved the Sailor Moon episode these people did the same way. Hope they create more!

Uninvited for the NES. Scared the living shit out of me right off the bat, and I happened to be alone at home when it happened...
Speed runners are so amazing. In practically no time, they’ve annihilated BotW to achieve sub-1 hour times for Any%. When I was playing through the game, I thought for sure that upcoming speed runs would take several hours AT LEAST.
I mean, practically every first-party Wii U game looks fantastic at 1080p. 4K is neat I guess, but 8K is and never will be necessary.
If the entire game took place during whatever chapter it was where the world is dark and overrun by deadly beasts...14, maybe? THAT would be a fun multiplayer experience.
It’s interesting to me that Kickstarter is basically a free opportunity to take a bunch of money and literally deliver nothing with no legal obligation to do so. Seemingly, they’d amend their platform to require substantial update progress over a very reasonable timeline or risk legal action.
Fangamer and the entire project have been 10,000x better managed and executed. Their has been real progress and playable demos. I have complete faith in Bloodstained becoming a reality.
Playdek got away with this scam! They actually did it. Hell, I’d pass off the project if I were them, too. No accountability for any progress, and you get to pocket $600k! Not a bad deal for Playdek, eh?
It’s worth mentioning that apparently, yes, the New Nintendo 2DS XL suffers from the same infuriatingly random use of TN vs. IPS display panels. Practically anybody can notice the difference between the shitty TN panels versus the much nicer IPS panels (for either screen), but it’s still just a grab bag which…
Re-orchestrated Hitoshi Sakimoto OST?! This alone is probably worth replaying the game.
The short of it is that for older games, they can observe the entire contents of memory at any moment in time. So a lot of it is observing how certain values change and such. By manipulating registers, you can trigger things to happen pretty much any way you want. The trick is figuring it how to do that just by…
Said the guy who just posted on a weeks-old thread. Like I said, not all that bright...
You’re not very bright, are you? If no game ever had AI tactics like this, then even a basic player would easily crush a CPU opponent at the hardest difficulty. Nintendo is trying to balance out the extreme advantage that being a human has over an AI. Yeah, it sucks sometimes, but that’s why they have 50–200cc so you…
Great article! Though I hope this is mostly a joke or half-hearted rant. Of COURSE AI is going to cheat. They have to...until we have AI that can reason the same way humans can, the only possible way to scale up the difficulty against AI is to let them cheat a bit.
I GET why technically a combo still runs if a character becomes dizzy, but it just seems lame to consider it part of the same combo for some reason when the player gets to chill for a second and then basically execute an entirely separate combo.
Maybe Nintendo is trying to create a new style of “competitive play” where many more people can easily master the game as opposed to a select few savants or people who can literally focus their entire lives on competitive mastery; something between casual and “competitive” in the Street Fighter and Smash Bros. sense.
I hope to see Nintendo be a little more progressive with these ideas...and this is coming from a gay dude who generally considers himself moderate-to-conservative.
God bless pre-rendered pixel art. It offers such a clean, crisp artistic experience on generally underwhelming hardware.
Damn. This may be my foray in Monster Hunter if this is true. Too many games squander gorgeous play environments and interesting game mechanics with...no co-op whatsoever or only local co-op. A good drop-in system can really make a game for me.
Is Sony the only company capable of coming up with decent, simple names? PS, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS4 Pro...
