If the writers think parity is important, what’s wrong with them adding it in? Creators often respond to criticism and suggestions, it’s the nature of creating media. You have to consider that perhaps the writers really do think making this change is for the betterment of the game’s story.

Im really hating how consumers cannot state their tastes and opinions anymore without someone calling them social justice warriors or any of that bullshit.

Every major developer changes their games constantly based on public feedback. It would be pretty unwise to blindly run a multi-million dollar development effort ignorant of what your consumers wanted.
