I'm many months late to this thread, but come on people, I thought it was pretty clearly one of the Fire Giants from Norse mythology that are supposed to bring the end of the world in Ragnarok.

I love the shit out of Hard-Boiled Wonderland. Another favorite is The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle (which I've heard other people diss). But I think my absolute favorite is actually Dance, Dance, Dance. I'm not completely sure why.

I'm reading Game of Thrones because I want to join the Experts reviews. It's decent, but damn is it long. It does seem to make it a lot more explicit exactly why certain characters hate each other. Tyrion also seems a lot less likeable in the book.
