I think the appeal is that when you wake up at 11:00 with a hangover, you often want greasy food and mimosas with the people who got you so drunk to begin with.

You really owe it to yourself to finish.  It's just one of those shows that's part of the canon.  And by the end it's a completely different show…it intentionally messes with your expectations.
