Anyone who considers themselves a “gearhead” MUST attend at least one NHRA event to experience the sheer violence of the fuel cars. It is absolutely insane and no amount of words or video can adequately depict what it’s like to be there in person.

But Reynolds was even more, an icon of cavalier, confident glee in almost any situation, and that quality will certainly be missed.

I’m very hopeful Alonso goes into Indycar next year. I do remember when Emmo and Nigel went there after F1 (and Mario before them). Indycar’s heyday was the early and mid 90's before the split, and I’d love to see a return to glory for that series.
