Btwn this clip and the Fallon stuff from yesterday it’s an even bigger shame that Conan wasn’t kept as the Tonight Show host. Freaking Zucker.

Also, angry commenters, thanks for proving my point about people being immediately insulting if you don’t agree with the comment.

Highlander is one of my absolute favorite movies ever, and , yet, “one of the best worst films ever” seems an accurate assessment, to me.  It doesn’t offend me at all.

PEOPLE OF THE PLANET ZEIST

>>It sounds like he wants to expand the weird mythology of the character.

To be fair, late in its run, Suits WAS a horror story.

Part of it was definitely how Netflix promoted it. It was on the main homepage for a few weeks no matter what came out. For example you would think they would promote “They Cloned Tyrone” which is a well reviewed movie with an actor that was getting tons of support and love BECAUSE THEY JUST ALMOST DIED, but no I had

But who should be the most rich and the most famous? We should care deeply about this.

Look, this is just one guy’s opinion, but nobody’s giving back any Oscars while the makers of ‘Shakespeare in Love’ are holding onto their Best Picture statue.

Ah, so not just an idiot, but a useful idiot. Or tankie fuckwit, as they’re known.

“You want to put this on your Klan account?”

There’s a severe lack of critical thinking beyond just the party affiliation for the not-completely-gone right wingers.

You know if you went red rather than blue you could just soak your head in the fetus runoff tank.

Yep, you got me. When I get my welfare check I go down to Planned Parenthood and ask them to look up my ass and find something to abort even though I’m not pregnant. And male.

Also, if I didn’t read those lyrics and just heard them, I’d be confused by that line. “Miners on an island? Is he talking about outsourcing jobs?”

The problem is this:

God, you’re so right. I can’t tell you how many times I get my paycheck and head right down the street to the abortion office and blow it all. They’re just too damn tasty!

Then why did he call out the 350lb strawmen using welfare to “buy fudge rounds” in the song? That’s where the “it’s about class” argument stops making any sense. Elites aren’t on food stamps; poor people are. Whining that they’re a burden for being fat and poor serves the wealthy’s interests.

I understood this to be super common in the folk / country world several decades ago. All the old pro-union songs were American folk music. Then...something happened, so now all we get are “star-gazin’ in my Ford truck, stringin’ up some city cuck, wait this salsa’s made in New York City?!? No, sir, none for me!

It’s those Northern elites. They’re the reason life is so hard for blue collar working class Southerners. Not Republicans in red states who gut assistance programs and vote down infrastructure bills, or turn a blind eye to megacorps who silence labor movements or offshore jobs abroad and incorporate out of the Cayman
