I’ve done both, born and raised in a small town and lived in a large urban area for the last 20 years. Small towns feel safer, and are more quiet. You know people so there’s a sense of personal community, they are also safe havens for like minded racism and bigotry.

I like the suburbs because of the mix of activity and quiet(BTW, it seems to me suburbs arguably get portrayed worse in pop culture more than cities or small towns).

X-com?  Elon has a 15 percent chance to hit.  Misses!

“I love you!”

someone on twitter said, “Oppenheimer mid-credits scene is Godzilla rising out of the waters”

This is just the set-up for the Oppenheimer Cinematic Universe (OCU), with Opp in an Iron Man role and General Groves as Nick Fury:

Back when I played CoD online (whatever years MW1/2 were new) it was just full of screaming, racist 12-year old boys. Any time I played outside of my friend group I just muted everyone. I don’t want to hear that, or the guy who just breathes heavily into his unmuted microphone, or the guy who’s blasting unintelligible

My last job had a "smart casual" dress code. Basically you could wear whatever you wanted as long as it looked nice and like, your dong wasn't hanging out or anything. It was pretty great. We could even wear shorts if the outside temp was above a certain number.

Totally. They’re the same type of people who brag about lying to not pay taxes.

I’d assume some MBA executive who’s never played a video game in their life decided that making the teams not dress like the target audience demographic would somehow pradoxically attract more sponsorship or advertising dollars from companies who are wanting to appeal to said target audience demographic.

I get that it’s a dress code issue, my thought was that one would hope we’d be beyond that nonsense, particularly since the demographic for e-sports is very different than most, let’s call them “sweat sports”. But, I suppose this is more to make advertisers happy, rather than the players or the audience.

It never ceases to amaze me that people care so much about footwear that they have to be this adamantly against people wearing something they feel comfortable with...

Last Action Hero is a gem

Terra should be higher, also that game has two protagonists, Terra is the driving force in the first half of the game, Celes in the second.  Cloud sucks as a protagonist in the original FF7, he just mopes all the time.  He is significantly better in the remake.  Cecil is my vote.  That whole game is about him.  His

Nothing will top 6 for me, but 4 is way up there. The biggest difference between the two for me is while both have huge casts (always a plus for me), you never get to choose your party in 4.

Must. Resist. Urge. To. Be. Old. Man. Yells. At. Cloud.

Fieri seems like a case of “Stay polite with the fuckwit so I don’t alienate that part of my base”. I’d be very surprised if the other three aren’t genuine Trump supporters, even if Bro Grogan likes to feign neutrality and centrism.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move” - Douglas Adams

Mocking idiocy like “Vtubers” is not bullying.

I’m so cool I still use Vine.
