What, no blitzball?

I don’t even want to know how many Hail Marys I have to say to make up for it

As painful as it is to say, I think we’re rooting for Brady

I was watching that whole video wincing at every cut and juke, expecting his shins to shatter.

I presume the idea is that if it’s later, teams are more certain about whether they’re making the playoffs or not, so those closer to the ends of the yes/no question (especially the nos) will be more comfortable dealing away. As it is now, the trade deadline happens at minimum a month before most teams feel any bit

Where do pitcher HRs fall compared to other unlikely sports feats, like our favorite, fat man touchdowns? If Bartolo Colon hit a HR would deadspin keel over and die?

I tend to fall on the Euro car design divide, but this current gen of Mustangs look legit good, and this is just icing on the star-spangled cake.

I wonder if you could apply a similar format to other baseball skills, and then instead of the game, you have guys competing in their respective best areas (infielders vs fastest runners?). Probably nothing more exciting than HR after HR, though.

The problem is that breaking the downforce is crazy easy. Just a few degrees of yaw (or crosswind) and you’re feeling it, by the time you’re sideways you’re generating zero.

I dig them. I also think the current gen Prii have one the best colors currently on the market, that bright tangerine the small version comes in.

In a red FRS you’re also frequently making the day of 8 year old children which is adorable and surprisingly fufilling.

I make no claims on the F35 being the way to go, but if you’re building a craft to be your main workhorse for 30+ years, you sure as hell are considering everything you can. One of the lessons of Vietnam was that you can’t dogfight with just missiles, and while missiles are definitely better than they were 40 years

There’s always the looming thought of having to deal with a roughly-equal adversary. Missles aren’t perfect and you only carry a few of them, so there’s always a chance you’ll have to go in with the guns. Missiles aren’t always far away, either, so you still need to be able to maneuver yourself into a firing position.

Fuck this changes everything

The slump is the last motion he gets before throwing. The look is fine (I refine my previous statement to “any motion with his torso”), but it’s that little turn of his shoulders and hips with the look that did it. If you can’t see it with the shoulders watch his knees: front leg starts completely hidden, but there’s

Once he finished that slump of his shoulders, the only motion he can make is throwing the ball, either to the batter or to the runner. That little jerk he makes is neither, so it’s a balk.

Pretty remarkable that, while that 917 was three seconds faster, it had an uninterrupted 200 mph straight on that lap.

Baseball seems too low of a fruit but I fear you’re probably right.

It may seem like torture doing some of the things fresh off of healing, but I hear it’s even worse if you let it heal bad and THEN have to do PT on it.
