It IS on the ocean floor, in the middle of shipping lanes, which is the problem

For those not in the know on airplane prices, in pure monetary terms, $100k for an ‘88 M20 is about par for the course (and probably even below-par since it hasn’t had any modern avionics upgrades), so there’s not even any Porsche tax here. But the concerns about the engine are valid, and you’d be sure to send it for…
This actually seems about par for the course for an ‘88 Mooney, maybe even a little under since it hasn’t had any avionics upgrades.
Everyone pretty much covered the basics (no wind is a problem of ports, not open water, etc), but these wing sails are very efficient and can develop a lot of thrust even when facing into the wind.
No dice on this one, but if it was a good one... I sold my R53 to get an FRS, and while I loved the FRS, getting rid of the Mini was a super wrong decision. I still miss that guy.
I don’t think LATCH is “more secure” as much as it’s “easier to make correctly secure” than a belt-only seat
My Dunning-Kruger guess is two-fold: first, the absolute number of incidents per model could be too small and variable to be statistically useful as a comparison tool; second, number of incidents includes a variable factor that you would have to adjust for (some models may be more prone to being in an incident than…
Reading the source report, it sounds like they do registrations not miles because they’re not calculating how often the cars get into fatal crashes, they’re calculating the rate of when this car gets into a crash, how likely it is the driver is going to die per car. Because they’re eliminating the “if” statistic,…
Yeah but it looks waaaaay better than the Cab
I’ve been a rabid fan since (most of) the first, and Origins and Odyssey are by far my two favorites of the series
Does anyone else even make CarPlay/Android Auto single-DIN units?
I have a vague memory of 90-something cent gas in northern VA around 98-99. Seems so long ago....
I hope touch doesn’t go away entirely, since things like nav map manipulation (WHILE STOPPED) are way better done with touch than control knobs.
This is an interesting way to keep the company afloat, but wouldn’t shipping freight be more efficient in a plane built for nothing but cargo?
24 ~2L cylinders, 1000 horsepower... So what’s the minimum power you need these days to hit 200mph?
ZNY going down for a little rightly freaked everyone out, but it’s not the first. Chicago-Midway has been an uncontrolled airport since middle of last week after its tower got sick, essentially killing all airline service. Same for Las Vegas but they’ve managed to keep some traffic going through. And Indianapolis…
The rear-end view is what really does it for me. People in general seem to have trouble designing a car’s rear end, but this Elantra’s butt just shines. It’s very visually striking and very well executed, without any of the chintzy bauble that a lot of designs these days have.
This and the latest Mazda 3 have really good rear designs, from two opposite approaches, which is surprising since economy rears are often super dull or waaaay too overdone.
So when are we going to admit to ourselves that our glorification of the stock market is a disaster, and that tanking your business in the name of doing good to shareholders that never gave your company a cent of actual money is actually bad business?
fwiw that’s the side of the Lincoln Theater
