Aemond is not Viserys’ grandson, he’s his son. Again, a small mistake, but they start to add up.

Like, did you not pay attention to his scene with Rhaenyra? There is genuine affection and respect there. Even if you missed some of the other stuff, you think she’d just off him?

You sure about that, friend?

Holy shit, you’re really bad at this. If you don’t like it, that’s fine. I don’t think the show’s a masterpiece, but this was probably the strongest episode.  “Undone by the first half”. Maybe if you’re going to recap a show, you should actually pay attention to what occurs.

I love Paul Thomas Anderson on the whole, but I feel like every other one of his films just isn’t for me. Licorice Pizza is the latest of those. I just don’t get the appeal of this film. Alana Haim and Cooper Valentine are... not good...

So then you weren’t paying particularly close attention. He was present during the hunt, recognized Rhaenyra on the streets and interacted with her during her night out with Daemon, and then he went and scooped her up to get her out of harm’s way at his father’s urging once the fight broke out between Criston and

Agreed.  Free Guy might not have been everyone’s cup of tea, but the guy has some very impressive credits to his name.

He’s excellent at drawings pockets and pouches, though.  Lots of them.

Not sure how John Krasinski fits into all of this.

I’m not saying it was wrong to punish Harwin.  I’m saying it’s a double standard to punish him for doing the same thing- only to a much lesser degree- that Ser Criston was *not* punished for.

Depends on when you grew up, I suppose. My life has been filled with Top Gun references since I was a kid. It was also always on cable in the 90s.

I’d say Galaxy’s Edge comes very close.  It’s really a great time, especially if you do Savi’s Workshop.  Also, though it’s still economically unattainable for all but a select few, Galactic Starcruiser certainly ups the immersive element.

There’s no doubt it had an impact on the film industry and the way films are made because of the technology, and obviously on Disney parks. But the movie itself, the story, the characters, the stars... did not. 15 years later, apart from the rides, the film has no presence in pop culture. No one is really starving

That’s fair, of course.

We know this story will span multiple seasons.  I don’t know why they’re so eager to jump right from introducing us to these character right to the Dance of Dragons.  They’re clearly going to end this season with the start of the civil war.  I would have much rather they spent more time developing the characters and

The show has not done nearly enough to show why Alicent is so bitter and mean-spirited or why Rhaenyra is so reckless and seemingly ignorant of how to play palace politics.

  • What in the fuck is Ser Cole still doing around the Kingsguard after assaulting the sworn protector of the future-Queen Consort in the middle of a banquet hosted by the king and a major violation of guest rights?

As with Game of Thrones tradition, he will die in Episode 9.  That’s when the big deaths always occur.

This was my take as well. The Maester gave Daemon the option to at least try and save the baby.  Daemon made the right choice, but I don’t think it mattered for Laena. I took it that she was a goner either way, so she took matters into her own hands.

Criston outranked Harvin since Kingsgaurd is higher than City Watch and acknowledging the reason Harvin snapped is verboten.
