GoT had likable characters you could root for and part of it’s appeal was in watching those likable characters finally have good things happen to them.

Are we supposed to be on Alicent’s side, because I’m kind of...not.
Yup. They could have spent at least another episode developing these plotlines so that we better understood and felt more when they left. Still, Nanna Blondell and Ryan Corr did a fantastic job with a miniscule amount of screentime making me care when their characters met their all-too-rushed end.
I know the queen’s favor holds a lot of sway, but come on. It strains credulity that he’d come back from that kind of public display of unsanctioned violence without losing his head, let alone his position.
I’m all for Esposito as Xavier, but I really think Magneto’s German Jewish heritage is essential to his character. I think it creates an even better dynamic having each come from a background of oppression (Magneto with the Holocaust and antisemitism and Xavier with racism) and how they may differ on how to deal with…
Despite some of the complaints that the show has been “slow” or hasn’t incorporate enough “MCU/superhero elements”, what they are doing is making me care about the characters (great development for Mallory this week) and they’re really knocking the comedy out of the fucking park. The humor is genuinely funny rather…
Nor would I, I was just citing them since they’re more or less the “brand” for the Philly area.
It doesn’t help that this is Brooklyn, where we already aren’t particularly fond of things from New Jersey
I’d report it thru their website. Seriously. They’ll do something about it.
Yes, they’re comfortably superior to Wawa.
Lifelong Jersey Shore resident here. I’m very spoiled with a wide variety of mom & pop and “local chains” for subs, but Jersey Mike’s still hits the mark and it’s the only national chain my family frequents besides Chick-Fil-A and Wawa (which really isn’t national anyway).
The answer is so simple and is staring them right in the face:
Can someone check the HVAC at these festival theaters?
Sauron identified himself already. He even plainly stated his plan.
I simultaneously don’t like and understand the ragging on Kevin Smith.
People still can’t really give consent when the power imbalance is such that one person fears for their life if they refuse sex, and Cole appears well aware of the possibility that he will be killed or exiled if he enters into this relationship.
Matt Smith and Paddy Considine have been excellent, but I must say, I really hope they can stick the landing after Milly Alcock is replaced. Couldn’t they have just aged her up? She’s absolutely phenomenal.
I didn’t read it that way at all. Yes, he was hesitant and apprehensive, but I think that was simply because he was foresaking his vows. That’s why they lingered on his cloak as he put it down. You could tell from their outing in the woods in last week’s episode that he viewed their relationship as far more than…
I’m a Kevin Smith fan from way back (and a Monmouth County, NJ resident), and I haven’t enjoyed one of his films since Dogma, and I’ve *tried*. Other than some funny bits in J&SBSB (Will Ferrell, the Good Will Hunting scene) and Clerks II, it’s been pure garbage and recycled cameos for 20 years.
