Weak joke, this thing practically looks Audi-level boring by comparison to that atrocity. Not to mention the GT500 has the performance to back it up, instead of fake plastic vents.

You’ve kind of given a bad example. I think that the Ford tack-on is cleaner than the border button bonanza that is the Ram
No. This is better. Integrated screen waste space and add cost. Even in a larger car, I prefer this.
I like the Ford treatment better as the rest of the dash then isn't so tall.
You missed some good stuff. Sideways jump into a drift on a hill in SF is epic.
The widest 18" street tire seems to be 335/30/18 on tirerack. You’ll accumulate more miles on your ODO but still works.
My stuff is so old, half of the back lights are dead too lol
Yup. I’ve pulled the screen out a few times already because I didn’t appreciate the dealer quoting me such a high price to do the job.
Turns out they’re wrong about the screen being the problem anyway...
I’m aware. I’ve pulled the screen 3 times myself because I disagreed with their diagnosis that the screen was even the problem and wanted to do my own troubleshooting. The HMI is what has failed, not the screen, which is still an extremely expensive part.
But there was no way I was paying them what they quoted me to…
I really don’t understand the beef everyone has with the floating infotainment screen. It’s no more or less functional than an screen ion the dash. I personally would prefer the screen integrated for aesthetic reasons but functionality-wise it’s really no different. And overall it doesn’t look that bad.
I doubt the “glued on” looking ones are much easier to replace than the integrated units. I’m sure that even though they look stuck on the outside, you still have to disassemble half the dashboard to get it out (probably for security/anti theft reasons, among other things).
+1 Waze.
Built in, stand alone, GPS goes obsolete. Google maps is fine, and Waze is legitimately great.
Same. Maybe it’s because I’m a luddite that daily drives a 22 year old Toyota truck, but most recently I was somewhat befuddled by a CX5 rental with that console mounted knob setup to navigate its Ipad-glued-to-the-dash infotainment screen. Conversely I’ve had some lower-trim Altima and Optima rentals where everything…
I have no problems with the software (except Cadillac, they can go die).
Most of this website honestly believes that they know better than industry professionals with years of experience and knowledge.
*sarcasm* But I thought autonomous cars were never supposed to crash. Why would you need extra safety tech in them? *end sarcasm*
Wow. This is some next level reality distortion field work going on here. Have you ever studied what happened with the old Spyker and Saab? Muller completely ruined both companies and you still want to give him money.
I would go the other way with this entirely. What would a modern Porsche look like with the more vertical style headlights of air cooled era?
