I’m probably focusing on the wrong part of the article, but seriously... Cover charges just to get into a restaurant? What the hell????

I think a better option would be to take the Type R and make it look like a ‘normal’ Civic (which is slightly less ugly).

Are we sure the guy who hit him wasn’t too busy applying the eyebleach after seeing the CTR before he hit it??

While nice, that’s not a lot of cred. Many jalops have more impressive “collections” and also do racing. Like Rutledge Wood.

Nope, it’s awesome.

The selective amnesia of British auto fans is staggering. Like LR’s quality, AM’s design language and drive trains, Jaguar’s chassis? Thank Ford.

Agree. On top of still having dirt, it should be noted just how much steeper Mt. Washington Auto Road is than Pikes Peak Highway. Pikes Peak has a maximum grade of 10.5% and an average of 6-7%. Mt Washington has an average of 12%, and a maximum of 22%, with several areas having a sustained 18%.

Pikes Peak road:

Nobody said Pikes Peak wasn’t higher... or longer, for that matter. But from start to finish the Pikes Peak course is 5 miles longer but only has 200 feet more vertical.... thus making Mt. Washington steeper.

from base to top pikes is 4800 feet, Washington is 4500 feet, pikes road is 12.6 miles, Washington is 7.6. Much steeper. More naeeow, and 18 turns per mile, vs pike having like 12 per mile

Yeh, but your mountain can’t brag about this...

“Hurricane-force wind gusts are observed from the summit of the mountain on average of 110 days per year.

Even if they do pave Washington it’s so narrow and technical I don’t think it’ll lose much of the challenge/intimidation factor. In fact it might add some. That run up to the Cragway turn is terrifying, with those multiple small crests which the road goes ever so slightly right over, and zero reference points to track

I wish this would get more popular as an event. Since the criminal act of paving Pikes Peak all the way up, this should absolutely be heralded as the great hillclimb event of the US.

Nope. CEO is on record as saying that the MazdaSpeed was a waste of money and not the type of car Mazda should be building (sidenote, fuck him).

Man the r33 was always my favorite, just seemed the cleanest design with all the power and tech. I can almost feel the 25 year import rule at this point...

Bullcrap. There have been rumors of a Speed3, and various specs, since the last gen went away. That it will be awd, that it will be turbo, blah blah blah. All just conjecture based off of wishful thinking.

Coal only made up 30% of the U.S. Electric power grid in 2016. Natural Gas has passed it at 33% and renewables are gaining. Nuclear is 20%. The narrative about electric cars really being coal powered is becoming less true.

I agree, but have to add that a micro-turbine is significantly more fuel efficient when it comes to just generating electricity. That said, there are already companies that retrofit large trucks (like delivery and garbage trucks) with several electric motors and micro-turbine generators.

The BRZ doesn’t roll over when you throw it into a corner too.
