I’m tiring of the Tesla persecution complex....and the irrational defense of Tesla whenever something really crazy comes down the pike.

My ‘64 Galaxie 500XL was so wide, at the time it was introduced, it was technically illegal to drive on roads in some states, unless clearance lights were installed on the roof, like commercial trucks.  It was 81.5 inches wide.

In my ‘93, my left rear wasn’t working...went online to find out why, and discovered for many, the individual amplifiers at each speaker tend to fail. Found the amplifiers are very expensive, even on EBay....but one eBay seller accidentally gave a tip.

I’ve never had a real issue with how the Mustang II looked...but plenty of issues about how they were engineered and built.

I love how autocorrect turned “Volare” into Voltaire.

Motor Trend has picked some real winners over the years....The Vega, the Mustang II, and my personal comic relief, the ‘76 Chrysler/Dodge Aspen/Voltaire, which if memory serves, holds an all-time record for the sheer volume of factory recalls for a single model.

You realize a lot of the bad decisions on forest management in California have come about because well-meaning, but misinformed/misguided Californians pitched fits, and demanded those changes, right?

Carcross? :) I figured as long as stuff was getting mangled, go for a relatively obscure one from Yukon.

Only problem with that, historically GM just can’t help themselves but TO get deeply involved in the companies it buys, which then leads to that company’s demise.

Well, Ford designed it...are you surprised there’s a few details that are a little odd?

It’s going to be hard to top the book....

You must be new here.  :)

An early experiment in “renewable” sourced auto parts?

If it was the past week, you can thank the Labor Day holiday.

If you’re determined to have one, there are far better choices for far less money. My son has an ‘87 El Camino that cost WAY less, and doesn’t have a diesel hand grenade under the hood.

Within my lifetime, we used to lose 3 MILLION people EVERY YEAR to Smallpox...approximately 30% who caught it died, approximately 300 million in the 20th Century alone.

The Dude......abides?

The 60’s were a wild ride...a lot of people these days lived through them, and a minority of those people actually recall them.

It never starts with restrictions on speech, but ends up there eventually.
