It’s totally fair to question why the Variety writer thought including the bit about DaCosta leaving was necessary when it’s not unprecedented, but no where in the piece did it claim that she “didn’t care about the film.” It said that “eyebrows were raised” and quoted a source who said, “If you’re directing a $250

Even if a lot of regular MCU theatergoers did watch Daredevil, which by all accounts is the best received of all the Netflix Marvel shows, it doesn’t automatically follow that they watched all three seasons or any of the other shows. I think your point stands fine.

It’s his super power

Here’s a question: what are the odds Grogu will be in the upcoming Rey movie? 87%? 93%? Completely, entirely certain?

You forgot the biggest question.

This show has been completely miss-able, unfortunately. I doubt I’ll ever watch this episode.

It was good - the kick hit me square in the stomach, excellently aimed - but it wasn’t worth $15.

It's not that interesting.

My biggest problem with the show in general was the acting. Especially of Dawson and Winstead. I expected both Ahsoka and Hera to be less flat and much more emotional. Ahsoka isn’t the care free kid she used to be anymore, but even in Rebels she was more expressive and less pensive. Even when she was down on her luck

That’s because both Germain and James have zero ability to criticize their sweet sweet baby, Star Wars.

Amazing - sounds like this finale was even more boring than the previous episodes. And yet io9 still barely restrains itself from calling it an unqualified masterpiece.

Hardy was pretty deep into a drug addiction at the time, if I recall, so that’s not surprising. Glad he got past it, and by all accounts he was far from the biggest issue with that movie behind the scenes (*cough* Stuart Baird *cough*)

I’ve got $20 on Kang somehow changing his appearance in the post credit of the final episode. We’ll only see him from behind or in silhouette.

I don’t really put Linklater’s trilogy in the same category but in terms of delivering pure storytelling satisfaction I agree it’s uniquely great. The fight they have in the hotel room near the end of Midnight was so raw I wanted to beg them to stop before it was too late.

And there wasn’t any time for Thrawn to do anything else cool, because that other person had to have a fight scene against random unknown bandits that *re-reads the above* ... had zero impact on the story?

I hate to be THAT guy but Heir to the Empire came out 32 years ago.

I’ve become numb. Horror is now dead to me now.

I completely understand wanting to savor the moment between two friends reconnecting after 10 years apart. Especially for people who followed the novels and the cartoons (I did not get into that stuff but still really enjoy Ahsoka!). But Sabine got to Ezra by helping 2 probably-bad-but-kinda-gray-area Jedi types, and

Sigh....

y’know, I work in the criminal justice system. I’ve seen a lot. Seen people stay with the spouse who abused their children. Seen people write letters of support for serial sexual assaulters. But I gotta say, seeing someone write that they “wholeheartedly vouch” for the “exceptional character” of a man convicted of
