Jonny Lee Miller has had fans way before Cumberbatch. Began around the time he did Trainspotting and Afterglow.

I still want Hank to go away.
In a book called I Do and I Don't by Jeanine Basinger she talks about the lack of the portrayal of marriage in today's Hollywood films and how good Friday Night Lights was in depicting marriage.
This is the first time I could tolerate Hank on this show. I guess he'll be sticking around. Though I want Sarah to reject him. Glad Drew has gotten some good writing this season. I'm glad I can still have the world of Katims on About a Boy, which is unlike any sitcom on TV rignt now in its lack of cynicism.
I liked the scenes with the jail consultant. Maybe he'll return to work with Kalinda or Bishop when they go to jail.
Pride. This was one of my favorite films of 2014, no doubt. Great cast, wonderful screenplay based on a true story, and so well-directed by Matthew Warchus, better known than his stage work. The film just died in the US which is sad because everyone I know who saw it loved it.
I don't have any strong opinions about Favreau cinema but I find I keep going to Allen's movies for the casts and leave feeling sorry they gave their talents to such half-baked scripts.
Thank goodness most of you A.V. Club critics ignored that awful, ponderous Foxcatcher. Monotonous, grim, boring, and unimaginative. I do wish someone had acknowledged Pride, which had a wonderful story to tell and did it mostly brilliantly through the writing, the actors and the editing.
One aside: I watched this show alongside the 6-episodes of The Game on BBC America. If you haven't seen that spy show, I highly recommend it. A lot of suspense in 6 tight, spooky episodes.
OK, some things that nag at me.
I do think some people who watched Broadchurch and then watched Gracepoint wanted to be able to complain about this version. I watched again because I'm a big David Tennant fan, and I still am.
I really liked Broadchurch, even though in that version I was not satisfied with the way the murder was handled. I am annoyed that the makers of Gracepoint said they were going in another direction with the murder and didn't totally do that.
I doubt that. Having the same murderer would really make this remake completely pointless. I really think Ellie asking her husband "What do you do all day?" was a red herring.
Just got to watch this episode last night. This is the first time I've warmed up to Kitty. Where did Lucy Liu go for a week? I am wondering if we're going to see something more between Watson and her boyfriend. I don't want him to be abusive but he seems kind of a bore. What's the challenge for Watson hanging out with…
I thought this was a better episode, helped by Nat Faxon. Quite frankly, About a Boy is a much better show and I'm afraid Marry Me is going to kill it with such a weak lead-in.
As Grace said it was her fault. Why did she bring the note to school in the first place?
I don't understand the hostility of some posts here about Alicia/Finn. I like their banter and I find they have great chemistry. I do hope Finn remains on the show even when Goode moves to Downton Abbey.
I think we'll find out that David Hyde Pierce's character isn't so nice after all and he's be taken down soon, too.
I can't stand the Sarah/Hank storyline. Ray Romano is trying his best but everytime his scenes come on, I learn absolutely nothing new about his character. It feels like deja vu all over again.
I was surprised how conventionally pretty Carver's daughter was. I thought she would be some deadbeat. I wish there had at least been a time for them to have a longer conversation with each other. What has been different between Gracepoint and Broadchurch so far is that the priest hasn't been shown to meet with Danny…
