It’s like a Sophie’s Choice of dickweeds.
I just wrote an email to a number of executives at Showtime regarding my disgust for this farce of a fight and the reporters being banned - as to whether anybody reads it, who knows, but here’s the contacts page:
They fucking cut into Jeopardy for this. I was NOT happy.
Ah. I watched it with Spanish announcers, didn’t catch it was an OG. Regardless, CR7 is a d to the o to the u to the c to the h to the motherhumpin’ e.
Messi seems just as happy setting up goals for his fellow teammates as he does scoring them (he holds the La Liga record for assists)
I’m not sure how that’s a defense for his pissy behavior towards his teammate.
That right there is also the primary difference between him and Messi (and why I find Ronaldo insufferable) - Messi would have run over to his teammate and happily congratulated him with his other teammates.
He was still being a whiny jerk about it after the game - that he scored in and they won - was over.
I was thinking the same thing as it happened! Right after this VR’s goalie landed awkwardly on his leg and went down in a heap - in the Spanish language version (no English BeIn here for some reason, or maybe I need to switch to SAP), you could hear his bloodcurdling screams of agony.
STOP LOOKING AT MY ASS
BTW - did you see Cristiano Ronaldo’s reactions to Arbeloa scoring off a Chicharito cross instead of him (they were beside each other)? He pissily smashed the ball deep into the net, and as everybody congratulated Arbeloa walking back to midfield he just shook his head and muttered miserably to himself. And at the end…
Ray is straining to come up with new phrases…I’ve heard him say “there is the razzle and here comes the dazzle” or some variant of that a couple of times this week alone.
You mean the son of Motown founder Berry Gordy? Yeah, I’m sure he’s shufflin’… in his ermine lined bathrobe with diamond buttons.
Probably the single worst penalty shoot out I have ever seen. Simply ludicrous.

If you don’t think her voice - her primary vocal - isn’t auto-tuned you’re totally deluding yourself.
Hell, I hope the women raise it up again soon too…it’s been far too long! When I lived in LA I saw the women’s semis and finals in 2003 - a lot of fun (Germany rightfully won), but would’ve been better with us on the podium. Now in Seattle and hoping to get up to Vancouver for some Women’s WC games this summer.
I played with him on the JV squad! I think he was a freshman or sophomore, I was a junior. I wanted to play keeper actually (had always been my position, and I was pretty good if I do say so), but the coach put me at left wing/left mid for some reason. I had the reflexes of a jungle cat - my friends called me El…
Our keepers for years have often been the main reason the US kept pace at all with other teams. While we don't have a Courtois level goalie, we have several world class guys and some really good young ones coming up. In HS (mid 80s) I played with Juergen Sommer, who was on the USMNT and was the first American keeper…
While Guzan is currently #2 on the USMNT (and is normally, despite this massive fuck up, very good), I was really impressed by Cody Cropper in the U-23 game v Mexico this week. He made several huge saves and is a large presence in goal. He currently plays for Southampton (though I don’t think he’s actually been in a…
