Whoever said he was brilliant, anyway? He’s made a couple of films that I have loved, but his “brilliance” is a myth. Plenty of filmmakers out there as good or better and actually treat their cast and crew with respect and dignity. Looks like he’s playing a part.

i completely agree with you, and with her, and i think this is awesome, and fuck anyone who tries to hijack this with “but eeeeverybody rocks.” I have had a lot of hardships— we all have, fuck— but none of them were specifically due to my skin color, and it’s heartbreaking that so many other people’s hardships do…
